It's the new Spider-Man 2 trailer! *squeeees, then bounces around the room like a Tigger on crack*

On a totally superficial note, there's a shot of Peter yanking off his shirt (which is there for no reason other than for me to icon it) and they let James Franco grow his hair all wild and unkempt. So for the idiot fangirl in me who just wants to act like an idiot over cute boys, this is perfect.

Oh, yeah, there's also plot and action and stuff.

Herein lies my dilemma.

I said I'd come in early today because Bosslady has the day off, but I gave fair warning to Bossman that I probably wouldn't be in until 10 because I have to cash my paycheck so that I can go buy my bus ticket this weekend.

But I really, really, really want to go buy that minidisc player before work today, which means hopping on the Metro and heading up to Pentagon Square to Best Buy, which doesn't open until 10. Considering the time it'll take to get back on the Metro and how fast it'll take me to walk down to work from my stop, I should get there around 10:30, 10:45.

Now let's keep in mind that yesterday, I did everything I had to do plus what Bosslady would have done in about eleven hours, and that was stretching it out some. Also, I already gave Oh-Woe-Is-Me-Ooooo and Lieutenant Asshat fair warning that I might do this this morning, and Bossman is usually pretty cool about this sort of stuff. (After all, I am still coming in early, just not as early as I said I was.)

So, what do you guys think? Should I just cash my check and go to work, or should I head up to Best Buy and get my minidisc player?

And yes, I'm chicken. But at least I admit it.

EDIT: Screw it, I'll decide on the way there. Maybe.

You know ...

... look what's happened to me. I can't believe it myself. Suddenly I'm on top of the world. Really, it should have been somebody else.

Believe it or not, I'm walking on air. I never thought I could feel so free. Flying away on a wing and a prayer ... who could it be? Believe it or not, it's just me.

...

You have the theme song to "The Greatest American Hero" stuck in your head now, don't you?

Good, now I'm not the only one.

Oh, yeah.

I didn't go get my minidisc player today, mostly because the people at my bank are annoying asshats who took twenty minutes to cash my paycheck. I still want to know what the hell they were doing with the damn thing behind the counter for twenty minutes. I know it's funny, but it's not dropping-over-German-lines-and-killing-Nazis-with-hysterical-laughter funny. At least, I hope not.

So tomorrow, shopping. Also, bus ticket. Also, movie theater. (Dear Hoffman Center, please trade a showing of The Alamo or The Whole Ten Yards for Shaun of the Dead. I beg you.)

Hmm, I wonder if this would be the right weekend to go and MST The Passion of the Christ. I'm kidding. I know it's Easter weekend, and the theater will probably be full of the worshipping masses. Is it just me, though, or is going to see The Passion of the Christ this weekend kind of like watching the rabbit-cooking scene in Fatal Attraction on repeat for two hours straight this Sunday morning?
