I am decidedly pro-fan fiction, fan art, fan vids, etc.
... surprise? (Heh.)
But, seriously, my history with fan-created works goes back something like sixteen years at this point, so I have absolutely no problem with anyone going that route with Heroine Addiction or anything else I write. God knows I've learned by now to see it for the fun free advertising that it is.
Speaking of, now that my internet is back up (YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!), I get to look into things like indie author review blogs (one of which I got a response from and need to send a copy of the book to) and hard copies of the book. My uncle friended me on Facebook and said, "I don't have an eReader! Where can I get a regular copy?" I think I have insane self-restraint for not going, "HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE AN EREADER YET?!?!?!" I love books, but you can pry my eReader out of my cold dead hands, y'all.
Meanwhile, I'm horribly tempted to start a review blog for indie authors myself. Reading other review blogs is making me interested in doing it. To be fair, I've already got this blog and ye olde not-getting-laid blog, but another one wouldn't kill me, right? Right? Guys?
*crickets*
EDIT: Oh, and also! Would anybody be interested in going over The Monsters of Moosic for me? I'm not going to be done with my own personal edit of it for a bit, but when I'm done I'd like to be ready to send it to someone who'd be willing to check it for problems me, the formerly-agent-shaped-person, thirty publishers, and the Mystery Option Behind Door Number Three haven't caught yet. (Yeah, I'm a perfectionist and a worrywart. What of it?)
