I think the lining was the frosting on the cake, it wasn't the winning point. I do agree that she was smart in picking the team she did and listened to them. It was the best design, and her little rosettes were actually a very elegant touch.
The question is, does she have the skills to do something like that on her own? The designs she's done on her own were nowhere near as good as the one she did last night.
That's not to say she isn't someone to learn from her mistakes (or what she did right). That's a large part of what makes someone successful in business, the ability to admit that you don't know it all, to know your weaknesses and surround yourself with people that can compensate for them.
