This season is a sign that some reality shows learn from their previous season's mistakes.

YES! MICHAEL WON A CHALLENGE! MICHAEL WON A BIG CHALLENGE! NAZRI'S GOING TO BE IN ELLE AS PAM MOTHERFUCKING GRIER!

*bounces around the room like a Tigger on crack*

I did not scream at the top of my lungs and flail and do the same dorky dance that Michael did.

I love that man, do you hear me? LOOOOOOVE. He made hot pants. HOT PANTS. My favorite movie is The Poseidon Adventure, damn it, and if there's one thing I've learned from it, it's that every problem anywhere can be solved with hot pants.

My only problem is that they filmed him from the side so that I can't have someone make me an icon of him dancing. Although if somebody can pull it off ... *clings to you*

Also, he called his mama. MICHAEL IS A GOOD BOY. *hugs him*

So, yeah. I'm giddy. Except for the part with Bradley leaving. I know he's not the best designer on the show by far, but what am I going to do every week without his amusing bon mots?! He's immensely quotable, damn it! Can't they just keep him on for color commentary?

And I liked Angela's dress! I did! What the hell is wrong with me? It was a nice update on the Audrey Hepburn style, and Jesus, I'm clinging to the last of my loathing with every fiber of my being but she needs to STOP GOING TO THE TALENT WELL. She sure as hell couldn't find the talent well the first couple of challenges.

I ... er, liked Vincent's dress a lot more than the judges did. It's my favorite thing he's made so far, so I don't know what the hell that says about me. I also like Jeffrey's, Laura's (although it wasn't much of a stretch for her), Kayne's, and Uli's. I thought the fabric for Uli's was awesome.

Oh, Robert. That's all I can really say about that.

I was on Jeffrey's side in the sewing machine argument, whether he was a dickhead about it or not. Angela, I'm starting to not not like you, damn it. Don't screw it up by fucking stuff up and then just migrating from machine to machine. Fix something if you break it, or I'll send Andrae to your house for a lecture. (On the other hand, Laura giving him a piece of her mind was just ... *snickers* I adore her.)

As for the models, I love that we've been given a chance to learn a little more about them. Especially Amanda. BWAHAHAHA. Shut UP, Amanda! You're cute and you seem sweet (dim, but sweet), but your mouth needs to not be flapping when Kayne's fitting you. Don't anger a man with a handful of straight pins.

I was so happy when Michael won. And he did a little dance!!! CUTEST THING EVER!

He was just so grateful and so cute and so goddamn giddy. I could have watched him dance like a dork for hours. :)

I also like that he stood up for Angela. Granted she does bug me, but Jeffrey so clearly has the chip on his shoulder/too cool for school thing going on, and I'm so glad Michael and Laura both called him on it.

Oh, yes. I don't like that she was just screwing up the machines and then migrating, but I think it says a lot about her that after working with her last challenge, both Michael and Laura defended her. Jeffrey was right, but he was being really harsh.

Exactly. And you got the vibe that not only was Jeffrey getting on her case b/c she was being a ditz with the machine, but also because he'd singled her out as being enough of an outsider that he could shamelessly pick on her. So to me it speaks even higher of Michael and Laura that they'd speak up, instead of quietly doing their own thing and letting someone get emotionally separated from the herd.

My guess is this is why Laura was a very close second in that Bravo poll.

Michael and Laura working together in tandem make a fabulous team. For all that they are opposites, they share a common train of thought on a lot of things. When they team up on a subject, they're unstoppable.

I want them to team up and do their own line when the show is over! :D (And then Bravo can film it and we can have them to ourselves!)

YES! I want to see that! That would be of the awesome. :)

Oh, Jeffrey. Jeffrey... sometimes I like him, and then he's got that whole "I'm too cool for mainstream America!" thing going on, and that bugs the shit out of me. Like, Jeff, honey, have you stepped into a Hot Topic lately?

[identity profile] thebratqueen.livejournal.com 2006-08-10 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Wasn't it the TWOP recapper who said something like "Poor Jeffrey, it must be such a fucking burden to be the coolest person in the room"? Because yes, that, exactly. I'd like him more if he didn't come off as constantly trying to make sure we understood he's too punk rock for this.

I get the impression from some of the editing that he's got a comeuppance coming somewhere along the line. I can't put my finger on it, but all that bitching about not winning a challenge has got to come back and bite him in the ass sometime. (I don't think he's going to win a challenge. Somehow it just seems too obvious, considering his style.)
