Because I'm a dork, that's why.

Nathan spent three hundred and fifty bucks at the hotel's spa and salon, according to his bill. Which ... heeee. (I could swear he'd just walked into the hotel when he ran into Niki last time, but heh. I'll go with it.)

Also, Hiro's "beep-beep" and "yay, waffles!" noises make me smile so much my face hurts.

Oh, and Nathan does look like he's been practicing the flying thing, doesn't he? He just goes right into that crouch and pushes off the ground, and he makes an angled turn in midair, and he breaks the sound barrier, and while he doesn't land coming straight down, he does seem to know that if he's going to land at high speeds like that, he might want to skid to a stop rather than a downward landing.

*flails*

I'm sorry. Dork = me. :)

*****

And while I'm at it, CAPTAIN JACK! *flails*

Really, he doesn't need to do anything to make me giddy, he just needs to BE. Although being immortal? Oh, yeah, baby. *hearts*

I have a thing for Ianto. He's smishy.

The writing's a little questionable, but I'll take it. I think the only really big problem I have right now is with Gwen, although I can't decide if it's the actress or the character that bugs. Something about the actress is throwing me off, but the not!Rose-ness of the character makes me wince sometimes. It's early yet, though, and I don't hate her. Well, yet, anyway.

JACK!

Are you reading the online graphic novels? Nathan has, indeed, been practicing his flying. :)`

I'm kinda digging Gwen. She gives Owen a few smackdowns (and he grates on my nerves) and though suffering from guilt in the secon episode about having caused this little problem in the first place, she buckled down to get it sorted. Forget the gizmos. Gwen did the methodical footwork and got grounded in the situation. Bravo, Gwen.

Frankly, even if she did release to "alien" with that badly thrown chisel - it would have romped off anyhow. That's why it came here, after all.

Jack! Glad he's back. Looking good, baby! Love seeing him but crossing my fingers that self healing wounds and the magic of Jack's kiss is not the deu ex machina week after week. 'Cause just no.

I think the show has TERRIFIC promise. All it needs to do it hit it's stride. I've heard the next episode is quite dark. So VERY much looking forward to that.

Did you watch the previous season of Doctor Who? She was in the Dickens/Ghost episode.

The not!Roseness is disturbing because on a meta-level, she seems to be doing exactly what Rose was there for. What is Rusty's thing with "a humanizing woman who will save the main character from his enormous manpain by reminding him of vague things about how there is still worth in the universe with herself as a symbol of that"? From everything I've read, he didn't do this with QaF, so you have to start wondering if he's just that bad at female love interests.

Er, hi, I've been lurking and haven't yet gotten around to friending you (which I'm going to do if you don't mind), but I love your X-Men movieverse and other fic. And I <3 Heroes like nothing I've seen in a couple years on TV, so...hi. :)

I definitely think Nathan's been practicing (re: comic and all), but he thinks that taking the plane with his manager is a little more in line with the whole politician thing rather than just leaping up and heading west. Oh, and I don't think we know what branch of the military he was in prior to his political career, so if he was a pilot (like his character in Top Gun, hee) he might have some knowledge about the mechanics of flight that way, too. I do wonder how he explained things to the hotel and his manager..."I was forcibly abducted, then *ran* many, many miles away"?

Personally, I think Nathan's been flying since he was a teenager, but he just hasn't told anyone. Comeo n, think about it, his flying was really good, even if the landing was rocky. Also, during the conversation between him and Niki, he was wistfully talking about "soaring over the desert."

IAAAAAAAANTOOOOOOO

(I really wish he was Jack's pretty secretary boyfriend. It would be a cruel world if that guy doesn't get laid onscreen.)

I'm still... deciding on Gwen. I don't like that they seem to be setting her up as Jack's love interest, especially since she's so much more compelling with the boyfriend she has at home.

Being a member of Torchwood apparently gives you access to lots and lots of roofs in Cardiff.

Nathan may be something of a slime, but he's a pretty cool slime for all that. I loved his landing. There was a bit of a Spider-man moment for me when he hurts his feet on the stones and hot sand, with the real world intruding on the fantastical elements in a humorous way. I loved how beautifully he carried off showing up at a diner in his pyjamas, just took care of business with as little fuss as possible--plus, he gets a gold star for driving Hiro back to Vegas. Then on top of that, there I am struggling mightily to continue disliking him for lying to the press about his bro's phony suicide, when he demands another 2 million from the people who just blackmailed him--and why not, if he's going to get blackmailed, he's going to do it in style, dammit. Don't wanna like him, but I gotta.

Yes, that's it exactly. The Not!Rose-ness of the character makes me dislike her. Probably unfair but well, it's TV. It's supposed to cater to my needs. :)

And yes, Ianto is smishy. And squishy. And I want to run my fingers through his hair. :0

My problem is with Owen, because drugging people so he can have sex with them is beyond creepy.

Heroes was wondrous and I got to see it twice this week because I showed it to Mom last night. Loving that Nathan's been flying and he's definitely becoming more likeable what with his handling of the blackmail and especially his being nice to Hiro.

And I'm blanking out major segments of the two Torchwood eps because I'm just too squeeful at having had it pointed out to me yesterday that it's Ten's severed hand from the Xmas Invasion that Jack's keeping in a jar and thinks is more important than letting a killer alien escape. Much love!

Question: Torchwood is what exactly? A Doctor Who spinoff, special or the new season? Or is it something older? Because I love Doctor Who and Jack as well. Also, did you notice how in The Parting of Ways (9th/10th Doctor, Season 1 ep 13) after Rose brought Jack back to life they kind of just left him there in the future?
