I think the unanswered questions rap for Lost is a bit unfair. A good portion of the list is made up of fairly recent "loose ends"; at least a third stretch all the way back to... the 2nd season finale. And some of the list is duplicative (seperate entries for Jack's dad and dead characters).
Lost has answered plenty of questions. What's in the hatch? Who's the mysterious man in a suit? What does the monster look like? Who was the woman in the radio broadcast? What caused the plane crash? What crime did Kate commit? What happened to Claire while she was gone?
Just because people don't like the answers doesn't mean Lost hasn't been giving them.
