I like how it's not enough to give him a big obnoxiously self-righteous speech, they have to keep cutting to the attractive judge smiling at him like "Ooooh, he's so good at lawyering, I must give up my ass to him..."
Oh god the directorial style of that show drives me bonkers. Those little...cut-zoom things they do. I found the smitten blonde judge kind of distracting, too. But boy, that actor was having fun, wasn't he? :P
I meant that the show's writers are not even pretending they aren't completely on this guy's side, and want you to be too. It's like legal drama by wrestling bookers.
Well, duh! The show's about Alan Shore, not random lawyer or precedent set up against him. Still doesn't mean that his point isn't relevant or that some real life lawyer might try and argue that point. I mean, Johnnie Cochran? Really?
Gah. I bought s2 and last night hauled it out to start watching with Mom (I'd downloaded the first half of the season but not found the latter half, and Mom hadn't seen any of the season, and now I need to hunt up as much s3 as I can find) -- and Mom wanted to watch PotC 2 on cable again instead of an ep or two. Gah.
