Me: Okay, it's almost midnight, and I can almost start my NaNo. Woohoo! *holds fingers over keyboard*
Otis: (to himself) Hey, Mom looks like she's waiting for something. I think I'll give her something to do. I'll bet she'll be really happy to have something to do to get her mind off her troubles! *toddles off*
A minute later ...
Me: *freezes* Oh, God, what's that smell? *searches and discovers Otis has shit in the spare bedroom*
Otis: *shows up to purr and weave happily between my legs* Hi! Aren't you happy I gave you something to kill time doing? I know my litter could hold off to be changed until the morning, but I figured what the hey, right?
Me: *RAGEFACE*
Otis: ... uh, okay, I think I'll just go hide in the bedroom closet. Possibly forever. *scurries off*
