Hey, but at least she isn't wearing tennis shoes!

Skimpy prom dress lands teen in cuffs -- It seems pretty obvious from her description of the events that it wasn't the dress that got her hauled away in cuffs so much as her reaction -- she demanded her money back and made a scene -- but I clicked on the video to see just how bad the dress was and okay, that's pretty bad. When you freeze-frame on the dress code for the prom she broke every single rule except the one about not wearing tennis shoes. So yeah, that video might be considered NSFW.

In other news, I have to go back to work today and of course, I'm completely frickin' tired. Also, I'm remaking that chow mein recipe, if only because it still smells burnt and I have enough ingredients to make more.

I really have nothing else to say. God, I'm so brain-fried this week, I swear.

The the dress was inappropriate but it was also ugly. She knew better I'm also quite sure her behavior got her led out in handcuff.

For a start that dress is seriously fugly. And if she knew there was a dress code, what the hell was she expecting? *eyeroll* Attention-seeking madam.

I couldn't listen to the video this morning at work but I did watch it - and my initial reaction was "Dress? What dress? That's not a dress. That's a hankie with dreams of being a dress."

Oh god. That's a fugly dress. Sadly, one girl actually got away with a bottom part of her dress just like that one. And she was on the prom court. On stage. I was scared to look up because I know what I would have seen. Urgh.

That's far more than the allowed one inch of midriff, I'm sorry.

I'm so upset that that's girl's from Houston, you don't even know. Girls in HISD have been doing that shit since I was in high school and it NEED TO STOP.

That was a swimsuit with a trailing skirt. Not a prom dress.

And it broke the entire dress code except for the tennis shoes?!

And naturally the one who did this was a black person who can't stop speaking Ebonics even when on camera. Argh, child, where was your brain?!

My word. That is indeed the definition of fugly. It looks like she made it out of a tablecloth and tailored it specifically to violate as many rules as possible. I love how girls do these things and then whine when someone calls 'em on it--please! If you're going to pay absolutely no attention to what's allowed and what isn't, don't be too surprised when someone tells you that you broke the rules, and this is where you get off.

...

MY EYES.

That was hideous. And man, all I can think is where's her parents? I can just see my parents reactions if I'd tried to leave the house dressed like that. I'd *STILL* be grounded, ten years later.

That's not a dress, that's a few handkerchiefs tied together. It is also ugleh.

That's not a dress, that's... I don't know what that is, but a dress it sure ain't. Gah.

Oh how is this ridiculousness occurring in my home and I just now heard about it? *rolls eyes at fugly dress*

My mother would not have let me out of the house in that dress! But then again, I wouldn't let me out of the house in that dress! My mother was blind, if I was uncomfortable with the thought of her feeling what I was wearing, I changed.
