Yeah, that's the only viable reason I can come up with myself for why his language might have gotten so bad. Of course, I'm not even sure I want to consider that the writers might have planned to write him this way when they were also planning on bringing on two new female characters. Something about that makes the word "targets" flash through my brain on a really skeevy note.
