apocalypsos: (i am surprised by you)

My mind at work, ladies and gentlemen.

Tonight on the drive home from work, I decided that I would be able to tell if the chinchillas were hooking up because the inevitable static electricity generated from two chinchillas rubbing against one another is bound to glue them together for life.

It's a wonder I haven't already made "saturday brain" a tag.

First off, two things regarding this week's The Vampire Diaries that I absolutely do NOT consider spoilery:

1. Caroline Forbes is more awesome than you.
2. I want to be Nina Dobrev when I grow up.

Okay, actually, there is one spoilery thing I wanted to say. Or ask for, more aptly. )

And now on to last night's SPN. I did want to say before I go on that the whole thing with Friday/Saturday brain is that it's very thinky-thoughts and a definitive attempt to be as objective as possible. Admittedly, I usually fail on some level -- God knows I love every character, and usually can attribute the things I don't like about them to decisions by the writers, whom I freely reserve the right to want to smack with a frozen trout.

In any event, who's up for the usual Saturday-brain meta-riffic extravaganza? :D

I just got to see the tarantula eat a cricket finally.

THAT SHIT WAS AWESOME.

Oh, WOW.

So I went up my parents' house this afternoon and my mom had gotten Temple Grandin from Netflix, which I'd been wanting to see but just hadn't gotten around to watching. So since my mom was going out tonight, she let me take it home to watch it, which I just did.

Oh, man, that was wonderful. A couple of spoilery comments. )

I wish I'd seen that sooner. It was absolutely brilliant.

Speaking of brilliant things, I also listened to Room by Emma Donoghue at work this week. Twice. Even though both times I listened to it I was incredibly creeped out.
