Oh, WOW.
So I went up my parents' house this afternoon and my mom had gotten Temple Grandin from Netflix, which I'd been wanting to see but just hadn't gotten around to watching. So since my mom was going out tonight, she let me take it home to watch it, which I just did.
Oh, man, that was wonderful. I kept crying on and off from the scene where Temple leaned in for the hug from her mom at the funeral to the scene at the National Autism Convention, both times because of the look on Julia Ormond's face the whole time. I mean, Claire Danes was absolutely perfect, but Julia Ormond in that role ... oh, my heart.
I wish I'd seen that sooner. It was absolutely brilliant.

Speaking of brilliant things, I also listened to Room by Emma Donoghue at work this week. Twice. Even though both times I listened to it I was incredibly creeped out.
