Okay, show of hands ... who's still working on their Big Bang?

I'm at 13k, give or take. I am not allowed to leave this chair and go to the futon until I crack 14k. Of course, usually when I say I am not allowed to do something until I write blah-blah-blah, nothing happens and I fall asleep on the couch watching the tail end of Seconds From Disaster episodes on YouTube, since National Geographic is exactly the sort of asshat organization that plows through YouTube deleting the first section of episodes people have uploaded while leaving the last four sections there to taunt you. Ugh, my disaster doc geek pet peeve, let me show you it.

Anyway, the fic. I feel like I am going to need to go back and watch the episodes with Ellen and Mary again when I'm editing because, well, the muse sprung at me so suddenly I didn't have much of a chance to get their speech patterns and whatnot in my head for writing purposes. Hence I'm sitting her wondering if I'm writing them the right way or not and knowing what happens when I just plow ahead in a story regardless of whether or not the characters and their actions feel right. (Granted, I'll have a while to fix this. *Still*.)

If I get this done and sent in on time, I'm totally spending all of Sunday drinking Smirnoff, eating bacon double cheeseburger pizza, and catching up on The Vampire Diaries. Of course, that's a big IF.

... aw, fuck it, I'm moving to the futon. I am not presently nor formerly the vice-president, the secretary, or the treasurer of this desk chair's fan club.

I'm desperately trying to make up the half of my story that I LOST today when, like an idiot, I emptied my recycle bin where I was hiding my "I'm writing fanfic at work" draft. I'm at 12K now.

Oh, many, Mary's voice is SO HARD. I figured out why too; she's a SERIOUS character. We haven't really seen her joke around or anything because when we see her it tends to be some form of a life-or-death situation. Basically, as gigglingkat explained it; she's season one!Sam with 99% less death visions.

...Yes, I do have 5k left on my Big Bang that I haven't touched in two days. Can you tell?

You have no idea. JFC. Crowley plays a big role in mine and the minute he showed up in the previouslies for this week's episode I yelled at my computer, "IT'S DUE IN TOMORROW DON'T YOU FUCKING JOSS IT NOW."
