And then Randy set fire to Simon's broken corpse. The end.
So, my semi-spoilery assessment of the first episode of this season of American Idol:
1. It wasn't perfect, but it definitely wasn't horrible.
2. I think Steven is the Paula, Jennifer is the Randy, and Randy is the new Simon. Granted, that's given only two hours of footage, and this is coming from someone who never saw Paula in action and saw more of Simon on "Britain's Got Talent" than AI.
3. I think they may have played the good stories a little heavy for the first episode just to lure in people who think the season's going to blow. It was very heavy with good singers, at least by my estimate.
4. I'm pretty sure that when Victoria Huggins goes to sleep at night, she disintegrates into a squirmy pile of sleepy kittens with pink ribbons around their necks.

Oh, my God, you guys, I have to do SO VERY MANY THINGS by the time school starts on Friday. I've got my school stuff to pick up, my hair to get cut and dyed, new glasses to be paid for so that they can be ordered, groceries to buy, and an apartment to clean. I was going to try to get in some overtime this week, but ... yeah, okay, like that's going to happen.
I'm horribly tempted to call in sick tomorrow. I already took off Friday because I knew I'd be so excited I'd be useless, but now that excitement's just shifted to Thursday instead.
SCHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. :D
