I know it's an old fanfiction mistake by now, but I was bored and clicking through Adultfanfiction.net when I stumbled across the phrase "rouge demon hunters."

*dies laughing*

Hee! Beware the rouge demons! They attack under cover of darkness and violently rearrange your makeup!

The funniest thing about that was that you spelled "rogue" correctly, rather than "rouge".

Yeah, but you get used to that one pretty quick when one of your favorite characters is named "rogue". Sometimes, I would download a fic and do a mass search and replace before reading.

Omigod, wait, I'm having an idea for a new X-man mutant: Rouge, kind of like Stacy X except she's this feisty, Southern Mary Kay consultant.

Personal fave: "Taunt buttocks" Conjures mental image of someone's ass saying "Nyah, nyah, nyah!"

Hey, rouge isn't only for makeup! It's also used in polishing metal! Maybe the demons went around making things shiny!

Thanks to stupid fanfic, whenever I see someone selling 'rouge' or whatever I feel the violent urge to throttle them for misspelling *Rogue's* name. *twitch*

Really? I keep seeing a transvestite with a feather boa, a la Rocky Horror.

So what _would_ a rouge demon look like? When I think demon, I always think kinda reptilian, yet also blatantly a human in a rubber suit... So maybe a pink one of those? With subtle hints of red to accentuate their bone structures?

(All over their bodies. Heh, they don't wear clothes. Except maybe for something tastefully understated in the 'dusky rose' shade...)
