It's this long, involved fandom_wank (as in 10,000+ comments, last I checked) in which some girl claimed she'd taken photos of Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd, and drawn sketchs, but they were all very obviously manipulated press shots. Someone started "My hed iz pastde on, yay!" as a joke referring to her less-than-stellar photoshop skills, and it's caught on like no other.
