The more I watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the more I think Paige is really an Interior Designer Barbie brought to life, although it's less because she's blonde and always dresses in pink and more because she's nearly always doing a little girl's room and they all look EXACTLY the same in the end. "Well, I'm going to paint it pink, and I'm going to slap fairies/unicorns/princesses/butterflies on the walls!"

That, and the fact that Ty speaks weird. He has some weird lisp-like thing that makes it hard to understand him, especially since he's yelling all the time.
Sort of like Mike Lewis from WNEP-TV. The guy talks like he's had a stroke or something...if he has had one, then he's doing great. If he hasn't...then he talks funny.

I give Ty a lot more leeway than I should because I think he's cute. :)
Also ... *snerk* I never thought about it, but yeah, Mike Lewis definitely has some sort of thing with his voice.

PS: Please, one day, give the parents a cracked-out theme room. All of these plain ones, while nice, are BOR-ING. :D

But, technically speaking, even woodframe, when properly maintained (and that means keeping the roof, walls, and windows watertight), should last centuries. Before brick/stone construction became economically viable, whole cities were built on wooden frames (which of course is why the Great Fire Of London frex burnt down three quarters of the city, and why many locales have building codes that spec not-burnable construction).

I have yet to see them do a kids room that will be functional for more than four years. Then again, they have the habit of getting people to pay off mortgages, so maybe the parents redecorate?

But they take those theme rooms to embarrassing extremes sometimes. MAD TV had this skit mocking the show where they misinterpreted what the mom in the family said and made the house a gigantic pink teapot, which ... yeah.
Although I will admit that the movie-themed room last night was one of my favorites they've ever done, if only because I want all of that filmmaking equipment.
