I'm watching a documentary on the Black Death. Have I mentioned how much I adore the History Channel? I love me some horrible epidemics. (That right there? That's my favorite apocalypse. Mmm-hmm.)
So I started opening files of fanfic that I started and have to finish, and I currently have seven different files open. Hmm. Is it sad that I'm totally tempted to take a layoff when I go into work tonight simply to stay home this week and finish some of this?
You know, Bush's comments about "the enemy" are a hell of a lot more amusing if you replace those words with "the boogeyman" or "the shambling undead" or something.
EDIT: Oh yeah, because I didn't say anything last nightthe fact that they're fictional characters is the only reason that I'm totally behind Carlos and Gabrielle having a baby. Because yeah, they are totally selfish and all they do is think of themselves and they are so going to screw up some poor kid, but at the same time it should be fairly entertaining. (At least to me ... I like them both selfish and up-front about it.) And that catfight? Go, Gabby! :)
And I am so on-and-off about Lynette most of the time, but I thought she had a really good point about her and Tom working together. I mean, after his acting like a spazz on the phone, I was starting to wonder how the hell he'd ever been successful as an executive. I think a lot of it is that he's really good with people -- he's very easy-going, he's fun, he's enthusiastic, and he's a generally nice person. But as blunt as what Lynette said about how they work together was, it wasn't a bad assessment of the way I imagine they work together professionally.
Susan ... meh.
Danielle is such a spoiled dingbat, and at the same time there are a lot of things I 'd probably confess to Hot Matthew myself. Yummy. Anyway, the whole Bree vs. Betty thing should be very interesting to watch, and it's really nice that they haven't forgotten that HELLO, Andrew killed someone.
And for typing up Karl just so she could watch her war movie in peace, Edie wins. :)
