(no subject)

I stayed out until four last night with my friends, which means that it feels like everybody in my family has called me this morning and woken me up with, "Why are you sleeping so late?" even though it was only two of them. Sheesh, spend years bugging me because I don't go out to bars -- and if they were so gung ho for me to go out and have fun, going out out with me would have been nice -- then bug me when I do. Thanks, guys.

Speaking of last night, we went to a bar where they were having karaoke and this middle-aged guy who couldn't weigh more than ninety pounds soaking wet with thick glasses and a toupee sang "Livin' La Vida Loca", or I should more aptly say he read the words out loud in the same monotonous tone while the muskc played in the background. It shouldn't have been the most amusing thing I've seen all week and yet it totally was. :)

Thanks to going out with my friends, though, I didn't get anything written yesterday. And I may break my rule of original-fic-work-first today just to get that stupid Supernatural crossover out of my head, because I'm desperate to write it. It's so crackfic, it's not even funny, and yet it'll make perfect sense. To give you some idea of just how cracked it is, I got the idea reading Pairing List submissions. Now that's pretty bad. (I'd say there's a good fifteen or twenty Winchester submissions on there. Eeeeeexcellent. *rubs hands together in anticipation*)

Also, I haven't gotten confirmation yet, but I'm going to try to claim Sam/Dean at [livejournal.com profile] psych_30. And if not them, then just Dean. Heh. This should be amusing. And highly traumatizing, which is how I like my Supernatural fic. ;)

My mother called me to invite me to dinner and told me the oldest cat's being taken to be put to sleep tomorrow. It's not like it's unexpected, though. He's been falling apart by degrees for years now. The most morbidly funny part, if you consider that Jasper's always been sweet enough never to give a damn about being tormented by my brother, was when Jasper went blind all of a sudden, which is sad and all, but my brother started doing this thing where he'd pick Jasper up, spin him around, and put him down on the floor again completely disoriented. And it's so WRONG and mean and yet Jasper loves every minute of it and always comes running back for more as soon as he figures out where the hell Bryan is. You don't want to laugh, but then you do.

EDIT: I have white chocolate smidgens with raspberry cheesecake filling from Gertrude Hawk. You may now commence with the coveting.

Oh good - you can have [livejournal.com profile] psycho_30 as I seem to be picking up Dean for all the other ones recently! If someone else has it, I cant pick it. Which is good as I'm failing miserably to write anything at the moment! LOL!

Good luck with it!

Yeah, 'cause this is just what my overactive Supernatural muse needs ... prompting. *snickers*

I'm almost glad I got into the fandom too late to grab any of the characters at [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100, although I probably would have already burned through a good chunk of the prompts by now.

I already had Magnificent Seven for fanfic 100 by the time I got into SN. I'm having enough trouble completing that one to even think about another 100!

But I have Dean for 7 Deadly Sins and 7 Virtues, and Supernatural for Philosophy 20!

Honestly. There's still Sam/Jess and John open for [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100 according to the BDT, but I already called dibs on Terminator and I haven't even gotten a chance to write that for a few months now. (Well, aside from the Supernatural crossover.)

[identity profile] kayim.livejournal.com 2006-04-02 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I love Sam/Jess.

No. I will have willpower :)

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2006-04-02 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, let's have willpower together, and not do anything stupid like compromise so you take Sam/Jess and I take John.

So what is SPN crossed with? And speaking of crossovers, when do I get to read your Charmed/SPN one? ;)

[identity profile] kayim.livejournal.com 2006-04-02 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, you're not helping here!

Nope. Will not succumb. 100 fics are too damn many. Maybe once I'm done with the other 9 million I have, I'll pick Sam/Jess for a smaller challenge.

Or maybe we should create our own SN based fic challenge.....

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2006-04-02 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not saying. It'll be a surprise. ;)

And one of these days, when I get it started. That's just one of many, many SPN plotbunnies I've got to work on. (You should see my list of story ideas. It's terrifying.) It really didn't help that when my computer blew up the other day and I had to do a destructive system recovery, which meant I lost everything. I mean, I made backups the last time I had to do a system recovery, so I have almost everything, but the only things I really lost were the most recent SPN stories I started. Luckily, it wasn't anything major, except for one story I really, REALLY wanted to finish and now I can't. *whimpers*

Oh, man, that's awful!

I can't wait to see the crossover and your other gen ideas.

just to get that stupid Supernatural crossover out of my head

... the words "Supernatural," "crossover," and "crack" in such close proximity make me ridiculously happy :D
