In tonight's "When fandoms collide" moment, when Schizo!Shawn said his back teeth were melting and sliding down his throat, I correctly identified that he was suffering from spontaneous dental hydroplosion. See? The Office is teaching me about diseases. :)

First off, if I'm remembering correctly, that's the first time we've seen Shawn use the bad touch to that extent (not that he hasn't used it before, I just don't remember him going THAT far), and GYAH. Poor Maia. She was starting to look like the dead girl in the closet in The Ring.

And Matthew's dead! Isabelle can kill you with her brain, Matthew! Didn't we warn you about that? And I kept waiting for his eyeballs to explode or his face to melt, so much so that I even said out loud, "Well, now he really IS a slime, isn't he?" EWWW.

I also wondered for a little bit there if maybe the thing that was in Kyle ended up in Matthew and that's how he turned out the way he did, but it's probably just that he was a creepy bigot who got that job to destroy the 4400 from the inside or discovered from the information that was in Isabelle (planted there by the Powers That Will Be (Ginormous Chaos-Loving Fucksticks)) that the 4400 would be a threat.

That's the thing that's getting to me about Isabelle right now. I'm starting to totally believe that she was sent back to destroy the 4400, but doesn't want to (kind of like Adam in Good Omens ... a reluctant Antichrist of sorts). The fact that she can turn a 4400's powers against them certainly leans towards that.

She thinks it's a bad thing to do, getting rid of all of those people, and maybe it is. But either the Powers That Will Be are the good guys, or the bad guys. Which means if that really is what she's meant to do, she's either a savior or the end of the world, just like she said, which must royally suck.

I think a lot of it is just being naive. Not a child -- I still don't think she was ever really a child. Innocent and sheltered, yes. A child, no. Honestly, the way her mind grows in leaps and bounds, I think her "childhood" was as long as it was going to get. She's still in that frame of mind that says if someone hurts you you hurt them right back, but if she really wants to be a good person like she says, she's going to have to listen to Richard and Shawn when they tell her to stop it. I have faith in them on some level, because regardless of any conflict they might have with one another they do have her best interests at heart. On the other hand, not showing a united front around her is really going to weaken their case.

It did make me happy to see Kevin's nerdy psych doctor again. Yay! Oh, show. What you lack in genuine scientific information, you make up for in continuity.

You know what I was hoping for? Remember Tom mentioning to Diana in one of the earlier episodes that one 4400 who kept ending up in the drunk tank and how they had to go get him? I was kind of hoping he was at the AA meeting, and maybe even that he was Driscoll. But then again, 4400 catfights are awesome. ;)

This show's giving me plotbunnies like crazy. Like Richard going to Alana to get memories of Isabelle growing up, and the real Sara showing up, and Isabelle really trying to be a good person, and ... more people need to write 4400 fic, is what I'm saying.

And no good can come of Isabelle and Ryland.

Oh, I almost forgot about that! Possibly because I blocked it out out of FEAR. *shudders*

I couldn't. I think I spent the five minutes after it ended just going "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED."

What can those two do together? They did enough separately. *shudder*

i watched bits of the show tonight. But then I decided "I have no idea whats happening here" so I left that channel. I'm currently waiting for Pysch to reair the pilot because I forgot to watch it last night.

OH. That was the same doctor? Man, I suck for not noticing that. He was so great in that ep with the tower. I kept giggling over how anal he got over the construction of it.

Okay, am I nuts? I could've sworn the coming attractions for this week's episode said "A 4400 will die, and it won't be the one you think", which would make USA a bunch of lying liars.

You made an excellent point the other day about how this show actually answers questions as it goes along. It was fantabulous to finally see what Matthew's deal was, then watch him stroke to death or whatever because ew.
