This butterfly chair should be marketed to insomniacs.

I fell asleep in the butterfly chair. AGAIN. It's a good thing I even woke up before work's supposed to start. *sigh*

Hey, guess what's on my TV right now? Project Runway! Okay, who's surprised? *snickers* You know, for all the bitching at Uli by the fans that they want to see her make sleeves, the only one who hasn't made sleeves so far is Angela. Not that Uli couldn't stand to broaden her horizons a little, but STILL.

I can't wrap my brain around the anti-John Winchester comm. I mean, once you've all turned to each other and said, "Boy, John Winchester's such an asshole, isn't he?", aren't you done? I understand why people would dislike him as a character, but come ON.

... oh Christ. This is really damaging my attempts to pretend SPN is a nice, safe, not-at-all-batshit-crazy fandom.

*pout*

All fandom is batshit crazy. Some fandoms just happen to be quietly batshit crazy.

There's an anti-John Winchester com? That makes me kind of sad. And eye-rolly.

I mean, I get the dislike. John's not an easy man to like, but that's kind of the point.

I don't know. I don't think he's a bad father, I think he's a good father in spite of himself. He's made mistakes, yeah, but name one parent who hasn't. Yeah, he's made it his mission to kill the thing that killed his wife, but ... well, really. Yeah, he forced his kids to learn this stuff instead of having a normal life, but they're saving lives and considering the demon was standing over Sam's crib, they need the training to protect him. And obviously he's a horrible father, because the boys are thrilled to see him, they're smart, capable and strong, they'd throw themselves in front of a bus to save someone's life, Sam got a full ride to Stanford through hard work and perserverence and Dean's practically a professional superhero.

I totally agree. John's not an easy man to like, but he obviously did SOMETHING right, since his boys turned out pretty darn okay.

I guess I don't understand hate/anti comms in general. Why waste your energy on hating something when you can dedicate that energy to something you love instead, like porn!

exactly! i so agree!

Hee and word. :)

I don't get the whole "I hate" stuff anyway. John's not my favorite, but I can't hate him. *shrugs*

Anyway, OT sorta... saw this in my morning paper and had to show you (since I've gotten hooked on your PR updates, reviews, etc):
Dona Kato (http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2006/08/project_runway__4.html#more) She mentions Sue Hutchinson who is another columnist for my local paper (San Jose Mercury News)

though it does irk me...so much HATE...do we really nee comms for it?
