Top Chef

I'm sorry, but I need to scream.

ARE THEY ABOUT TO FUCKING LIE ABOUT MARCEL CHEATING JUST TO GET RID OF HIM?! AND ON THE SUGGESTION OF "FAN FAVORITE" SAM?!

... I want to hurt every single one of these goddamn people.

Except Marcel, obviously.

EDIT: Oh, my God, Elia is STILL saying she's been Marcel's only friend. I do not think that word means what you think it means, you hairless dicksmack.

I'm sorry, but ... bwahahahahahahaha!

...I shouldn't have clicked this for another couple hours. Please say you're kidding. Actually, don't bother, because with these people I don't even know why I'm surprised anymore.

Let me sum it up like this. During JT deliberations, they show Sam, Ilan, and Elia sitting at a table together (with Marcel off somewhere else) and they're bitching about how Marcel ended up in the bottom three a lot and how he didn't deserve to be there. Then Ilan says to Elia, "You should say something," and Sam, the big dicksmack, says, "If you say something, it should be about cheating."

Not that he DID cheat, just that she should say he cheated.

*headdesk*

On the bright side, you're going to die laughing about how it turns out. :)

Oh good god. If any of them win I'll stop watching Top Chef until next season! Why did they bother making Elia look slightly better in the shaving incident if she was going to be a part of this bullshit later? ...And I still have an hour and a half to wait. Stupid west coast.

I loved the chef shaking his head when she tried to explain about the 'cheating'. Cheating, bah! Grow up!

I love that the judges at the table were like, "Bitch, please."

And I also loved the turnout considering the fan favorite and what the results were for the Bravo poll. HEEEEEE.

Marcel's got mad skills, being able to cheat without actually breaking any rules. I'm very impressed.

(Elia has no contact with reality at all. And Ilan isn't far behind.)

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I loved how the two of them just kept saying, "SOME PEOPLE do this and SOME PEOPLE do that," and both Chef Tom and Marcel were like, "Do we have to keep translating from idiot to English or are you going to just start saying, 'Marcel' already?"

[identity profile] budclare.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
And they genuinely believed that they were taking the moral high ground by passive-aggressively refusing to name names. Their logic is insane and happenstance, like that of a troll.

I used to like Elia. What happened?

I can't believe her. "I'm really his only friend, but he's been cheating. I don't know how or when, and it hasn't affected anyone else, but Yeah! Cheating! In fact, the whole assault thing? Marcel's idea! He hypnotized us into doing it! Actually, he touched US aggressively! Get rid of him."

I can only hope that they don't bring back past chefs as assistants in the last challenge.

At least the judges look as sick and tired of this bunch as I am. I miss Harold.

I rather wish it had been Sam and Marcel in the finals. I mean, if Sam won over Marcel, I'd be pissed, but I wouldn't be frothing at the mouth with rage as I would if Ilan beat Marcel. Because if he did, he would spend five minutes going "NYAH NYAH I TOTALLY BEAT MARCEL oh yeah this is totally a great honor TO BEAT MARCEL."

And seriously, fuck you, Elia. I watched the first fifteen minutes again and pointed and laughed every time she said she really wanted to win. "Marcel really hasn't been a threat to me." EXCEPT WHERE HE BEAT YOUR ASS.

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
I wish it had been Sam, too, because God knows he's a better chef than Ilan's been. Yeah, he's a shit-stirrer, but when he's not being a ginormous asstard he's the best candidate they had. I get why they didn't keep him, though -- too much of a Harold knockoff and not enough drama with Marcel. Honestly, I'd rather a lack of drama next week, thankyouverymuch, although it should be fun watching Ilan try to prod at Marcel and having Marcel not even flinch.

[identity profile] budclare.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Also, Sam is less annoying in general, so the finale would have been more watchable. I can barely stand the thought of watching The Ilan & Marcel show. It's going to get ugly, and there's a limit to how much I can headdesk before my head starts to really hurt. But I will endure, so that I can cheer on Marcel.

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Look at the bright side -- Marcel doesn't give a shit what Ilan thinks and doesn't react to him anymore, so if anybody is going to make an ass out of himself next week it'll be Ilan.

[identity profile] budclare.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
That's exactly the problem. Today it took a grand total of two minutes for Ilan to make me want to strangle him. And the next ep will have twice as much Ilan, since there are half as many chefs.

*curls into a ball and wails*

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
I'm trying to make myself feel better about it by thinking back on it and in all honesty, Marcel's been getting a winner's edit compared to Ilan. Ilan's been looking more and more like a pissy little bitch with every new episode, while Marcel's been gaining sympathy.

Plus, there's this:

1. Marcel is standing on the right in the preview when they're both being spoken to at JT.
2. Padma sits towards that end of the table, just after the guest judge.
3. She isn't looking to her left when she announces Top Chef in the previews.

*crosses fingers*

I can put up with Ilan washing his entire career down the toilet by acting like an immature moron for an hour if it means Marcel will win in the end.
