Yay, new fandom!
Holy Christmas, how much do I love The Riches?
First off, I love the characters and the whole set-up and everything, but my God, Eddie Izzard has me at his beck and call right now. I mean, I love the guy to pieces and when I say that I want a guy who's smart and funny that's the kind of smart and funny I mean. But I've never really found him hot until tonight. Not that I thought he was ugly or anything but I've never looked at him all scruffy and sneaky and thought, "Waaaaaaant." *grabbyhands*
Also, I have great spastic love for that sex scene. It was all fast and silly and awkward and yet still romantic.
And Minnie Driver! Who didn't annoy me in the least, which is unusual.
I love the kids, too, but especially Sam. Oh, Sam, you adorable trannie in training. I kind of adore the fact that not only are they doing the storyline, but with Eddie Izzard involved there's a better chance that it won't turn into some stupid flailing cliche.

Alas, Minnie Driver made me want to punch her in the nose, as often happens with her.
I loved the kids though. Di Di was awesome, and so was Sam. ::is still on the fence about Cal::

Eddie, however — and I adore the man — has never, ever been able to do a serviceable American accent, and he sure as hell hasn't started now. He's like the only British actor ever who can't seem to do it. He does it well in concert, for like five seconds at a time, but here the accent just sliiiiides around...
