I'm going to end up donating plasma just to buy that, honestly.

WAAAAAAAANT. I know it's for kids but I could probably get away with bringing that into work. And even if I couldn't, I could sure as hell bring it to family things and places where taking my laptop would just make me look like a geek. (If I end buying that for myself instead of, like, paying my car insurance or something you all have my permission to smack me around.)

Meanwhile, I was trying to decide whether or not to go to the movies today but somewhere between the snow flurries and the fact that Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is getting even crappier reviews than I'm willing to ignore (... what, why are you looking at me like that? I thought it might be cute!) I may just go buy myself some groceries, finally wash some damn dishes and just hang out. Which, you know, would be the extent of my plans for the past three days, but still.

Also, someone remind me that when a link says it goes to [livejournal.com profile] supernatural_tv, I am not allowed to click on it. I repeat: NO CLICKING. Every time I wade into the muck over there I come out covered in spooge up to my knees. *sigh*

I did watch Guiding Light today just for a good laugh. When the hell did Josh become a fucking minister? I swear to God, I died when they said that. Oh, great, that's just what he needs. He was sanctimonious most of the time anyway last time I watched ... why not pay him to do it professionally? And Will's "transition"? I'm sorry, did he go through a sex change when I wasn't looking? (Okay, it probably has something to do with the whole prince thing, but I don't care enough to look it up and that sex change thing was the first thought to pop into my head.) Whatever. I just recall flipping through the channels last week and seeing Will behaving so politely he HAS to be fictional and RJ glaring at Will like he's going to be licking RJ's boots when RJ takes over as the Anti-Christ.

I've barely left my living room over the past few days. Urgh.

And I'm currently watching I Love The 90s and trying to figure out why Benicio Del Toro is supposed to be hot.

I want one of those too, so don't feel bad. I write my NaNo out long hand every year typing up what I write daily, and that would certainly cut out a step and save me some time.

I know, really. I'm thinking I may ask my brother to a.) use his Sears discount and b.) pay for half of it for Christmas, and if I can get a hold of him tomorrow and he has to work I am SO THERE. :)

I wonder if they have them at wal-mart and if they do if I can con my roommate into using her discount on it if I give her the cash for it. *ponders*

Not that I should be waisting money, I still need to register my car this month, and that is going to hurt.

According to the main website they have them at Wal-Mart in the kids' electronics section of the store. :)

I am seriously thinking of running out next week and donating plasma just to cover my half of it.

Mmmm. Maybe I could do it after all. I get paid twice more this month so if I just wait until I get paid next week I might actually be able to swing it. If I can get my roommate to go along with it.

I think this might be the first time I ever ventured onto that comm. Maybe it's the circumstances, but people seem a bit... catty? It sort of reminds me of the TWoP boards.

(Also, hi! I saw you over on JF and figured I'd friend you here too because you're cool.)

OMG. *looks at it* WANNNNNNT! Oh that would be *PERFECT* for fic writing. Hell, writing period.

See, they dream these things up for kids, but they are so missing the market.

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2007-11-17 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I know, right? I think I may end up writing them a letter or an email saying I'm a grownup asking for it for Christmas and that I'm putting it on my Amazon wishlist and asking them why they don't market it to adult writers or college students, since I'm both (or will be) and I'm dying for one of those.

Oh totally. I'm looking at it going *YES* this is *PERFECT* The friends'n family are totally used to me toting notebooks everywhere I go, so totally not going to blink at it. But yeah, a review I found online for it pretty much says they're missing the market. A lot of adults would totally want this for themselves. the translation part had me gleeing. Imagine it, writing fic instant translations if you need a foreign language. Just *GLEE*

It's *perfect* for college students and writers. It's a lot more portable than a laptop, less hassle, and a lot less noticeable. Who's going to mug a person to try and steal a pen? *G*

I *WANT* man. I'm like "I'll just ask for it for Christmas, order it off Amazon, have a friend forward it to me here." since, apparently no international shipping from Amazon on it. But *GLEE* it's perfect!

I think I may ask my brother to buy it for me. I'd ask my parents, but my brother works for Sears so he can at least get a discount through there and I think my mom's sick of me saying what I want. (Even if I could convince him to pay for half of it for Christmas, I'll just pay for the rest and be freakin' GLEEFUL.)

I just ... *flappy hands* That's what I've been dying for. I like toting a notebook and a pen to places and getting comfortable and writing, but what turns me off it anymore is carting my notes home and typing them up. And yeah, I really think I might be able to sneak that into work. I'm loathe to ask them because they'll probably tell me that they're not allowed, but they're used to me carrying in at least one notebook so I doubt they'd bat an eye over it. *crosses fingers*

At the very least I could take it with me to Thanksgiving and still get story notes written. \o/

Good plan! I haven't really given any answers to the family yet so, I'm safe I think on this one. May suggest it to an aunt who isn't in the mood for shopping this year. She'd cover it.

I've been planning on converting to a laptop for *AGES* and just, the finances keep falling through *kicks stupid ass job* this? SO WOULD fill the gap until then. And yes, it's still just a pen after all. And weird clunky pens are all the rage anyway so... I'm just giddy over this thing. *G* it's PERFECT! They should send delegates to the Cons. Imagine the sales they'd rack up.

Ooooh WIN!

Aw, man. I knew Magorium would be hit or miss, but I was hoping it'd hit. Oh well.
