ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!

We didn't get out of work at midnight. We got out at two.

But I volunteered to do inventory (which they didn't explain, they basically just handed me a paper and a pen and said, "Here, count stuff"), so I stayed an extra half hour. Meaning I left in the middle of the snowstorm at two-thirty.

I just walked in the door at ten after five. It took me two and a half goddamn hours to make a twenty-minute drive home. That's also counting the fucking hour and a half I had to sit in the parking lot of a Dunkin Donuts waiting for snowplows to go past on what is supposed to be my safe, always-gets-plowed way home. (Dear PennDOn'T -- well, fuck you too.) My car couldn't make it all the way up the driveway so I'll probably have to go out and move it later.

Also, my toilet is still clogged, which should make for a fun wait for either my dad or my brother to wake up so I can call and ask them to bring the plunger down.

You know, I was joking at work when I said I was going to start New Year's Eve with amaretto and coke for breakfast, but no, REALLY, amaretto and coke for breakfast! \o/

can I cry now? yes? eeeeexcellent.

There, there, my dear. I'm sorry you've had such a rotten night. Hopefully the rest of the day will be much better.

My deepest sympathy on your miserable drive. Having been through that torture myself quite recently, I feel your pain. I'm just glad you made it home safely!! Snow. Sucks.

Arametto and coke sounds like just the ticket. And some deep breaths. :-)

Oh, man, at this point I don't even want to leave the house for any of the things I really need -- toilet paper, tampons, the plunger, ANYTHING. (Although obviously, I don't have much of a choice for any of them. *grumbles*)

That's exactly what happened to me last year, only during the day. 20 minute drive home turned into 2 1/2 hours of HELL and I was so relieved to make it home. I'm glad you got back okay despite your rotten night, I hope you can get your toilet fixed soon!! There's nothing wrong with comfort food :D *hugs*

And... uh... Happier New Year?

Gotta love PennDont. Ok you really don't have to love them, the bastards.
