HA!

I don't know who wrote this spoilery recap of last night's Top Chef, but she is obviously my soulmate and my new best friend. Also, it's possible she stole my brain. :)

And now to go see about downloading a copy of the episode so I can watch it when I wake up ...

EDIT: Oh, man, did Ilan seriously win the "Who should have been knifed?" poll? That's brilliant.. The Bravo minions hate him, too. *snickers*

I loved how of the many toolish things Ilan did and has done, he included "wear shitty t-shirt to a high-end restaurant" on the list. Fucking jackass.

But he won Top Chef, so CLEARLY he's totally allowed to do that even though Hung and Harold both dressed appropriately because they are awesome!

That's a great review. hee!

My friend's cable went out halfway through the episode and I ended up giving her a play by play. I think her reaction to Spike bitching at the guest chef was 'he did what??' *snort*

At first I was very irritated by who had to go home, but then I realized that it leaves me with someone I really don't like to make rude comments toward during the finale. :P

Personally? I'm hoping Stephanie wins.

I want Stephanie to win, too, but I'm just sticking with the Anyone But Lisa team right now. If she wins my angry letter to Bravo won't go out fast enough.

My favorite line: "Lisa looks like she's making diamonds in her mouth."

I, too, am pulling for anyone but Lisa, with Stephanie and Richard in the lead on the basis of talent and personality, respectively. That said, I must confess that I approved of the new ’do Lisa was sporting in the previews; huge improvement over the greasy mop.

I am SO PLEASED that the three people who have consistently been nice--not inhumanly; it's not like all of them haven't said Bad Words and/or slightly less-then-kind things about others from time to time--made it to the finale. I've been rooting for that outcome for about six weeks now, I think.

I mean, there's fun to be had with bitchery, but it doesn't at all kill me for there to be 75% odds that the (a) nice guy will win, and I like that none of those three have had to stoop to:

--trying to screw the others
--blaming other people
--behaving as though their background is just So Much Better (even Richard with the molecular whatsis and the 60 degree bath and such, it comes off as *shrug* this is how I do this, rather than My Way Is God)
--whining.

Seriously, have any of them ever whined or taken a criticism as anything other than constructive? I'm trying to think of an instance, and while it's possible that there was one early on before the folks had differentiated themselves so clearly in my mind, I'm failing at coming up with anything.

Also, Lisa's new hair (for the finale)! Holy cow, that's different. I found myself wondering if the advice not to shave anyone's head went astray somehow.
