-- I'm thinking of digging up a story I wrote a while and got mostly finished before I backed away from it. The good thing was that it was fun to write, the bad news is I wrote each chapter from a different character's first-person POV. No, I don't know why. I think I was nuts.

WHAT. What the hell does her weight have to do with her complete inability to write?

-- I'm having so much fun watching the Olympics this year. For God's sake, I watched handball this morning. I don't even know what handball IS. Like basketball with a tennis ball? That looked about right.

And it wasn't even the Americans playing. Honestly, I think I have more fun the more obscure the game and the countries involved. If it gets down to, like, Latvia versus Zimbabwe playing badminton I think I may explode or something.

And I know there are people who aren't watching because of the setting, but I just ... I don't know. I just keep thinking about the athletes, and you work your entire life to get there, you spend hours every day from the time you're a little kid practicing your ass off, and you FINALLY make to the Olympics. And it's not like they're the ones who decided to pick China. They're just the ones who worked their asses off to get there. *shrugs*

Also: Sharpshooters from Russia and Georgia embraced Sunday after earning medals for their countries, which have been teetering on the brink of war since the Beijing Summer Olympics kicked off last week.

-- I've really got to try rereading the Twilight stuff just for the hell of it, but if I borrow them from the library I'm just going to forget to bring them back and if I get the PDFs I'm going to be reading them during times I'm supposed to be writing. So, I guess I'm going to have to check out the used bookstore near Jess's house. I should be able to get rid of some old romances I didn't like much and trade for store credit.
