I hate my hair.

So I'm trying to grow it out. Yes, AGAIN.

This is the ONE good picture of my hair I've managed to get in the last fifteen minutes. Look, here's the thing. There are two things I hate when it comes to my hair -- the ends of my hair at the very bottom of my scalp touching my neck as they grow out, and bangs. I've already gone at the hair along the nape of my neck with scissors. But clipping my bangs back with those little plastic clips gets tiresome after a while.

Hence me today with, essentially, my hair down.

I can almost imagine how annoying that's going to be in a month and a half at my family reunion. You know, if I don't crack and go get my hair cut between now and then. (I want a bob again, damn it.)

On the plus side, I think I already lost weight, but I haven't weighed myself. I could swear my waist was 34 inches the last time I checked but I can't be sure. Now it's 33 1/2 inches, so if I'm right -- woot!

I've found that keeping on eye only on the scales is a bad idea. If you feel right, you feel right, so... I'm inclined to think you've lost weight.

You're absolutely adorable! Love the haircut, annoying bangs and all. [grins]

I think there are still a few pictures of myself in high school when I finally acknowledged that bangs are not a good idea for a girl who A) has fast-growing hair B) and glasses C) and can't be bothered to get it trimmed once every month or two when it starts hitting the frames of my glasses and curling dorkily off to the sides. So I let them grow out to get my hair to all the same length. It looked especially nasty when I got permed my sophomore or junior year and had this big chunk of former bangs just kind of sticking out to the side. Senior year it was long enough compared to the rest of my hair to not be so bad, and I think by college it was how I like keeping it -- waist-length or longer and all the same length. (Just like in my posting icon.) Even when I've had a shorter trim I just had Mom cut it all off straight.

Congrats on the waistline! I wish I was getting myself back into the exercise habit -- my waist just keeps expanding and I can't wear any of my rings anymore. At least my legs still look great from climbing the stairs at work...
