I'll be so glad when Project Runway comes back.
So pictures of the final collections for The Fashion Show are up on Bravo's website.
I think it's between James-Paul and Anna. Anna's collection is simple but lovely and if they're looking for a good ready-to-wear collection, I can totally see them going for that one. And James-Paul's collection reminds me a lot of Christian Siriano's final collection on PR -- it's a practically all-black collection where the genius is in the details. Both of them produced really great outfits as a whole.
As for the others, it's touch-and-go. There's two dummy collections this time, Merlin and whoever gets whacked next week. Merlin's collection is exactly like you'd think it would be, very colorful and wild but almost impossible to wear on the street. I haaaaate Daniella's collection ... I really dislike the sheer sleeves with an opaque bodice thing she does constantly, and it's all over her collection.
I was very meh about Johnny's collection, but I'm usually meh about Johnny, though. I think Reco's collection is one of those where there are some fascinating pieces and some that are just lame. I do think it's adorable, though, that he carried the model in the wedding gown off the runway.
I think I'm mostly amused that both Shannon and Mountaha modeled in the runway show. Heh.

James-Paul's collection didn't do it for me, because some of it looked as if it were about to fall apart or off the model. His stuff is just a bit... messy for me, I suppose. I liked his ideas, even if I'd never wear most of his clothes.
Weirdly, because I hate orange and yellow, I really, really liked Reco's collection except for the bird of paradise explosion dress.
Anna always looks such a mess herself I have a hard time taking her seriously as a designer - until I see her clothes. How can someone who produces such pretty dresses always look like she just climbed out of bed and scratched before heading to work? I actually liked the dress she had on more than a few of the ones on the runway. Still, a really nice collection.
Johnny's got a weird mishmash of Daniella's clothing as envisioned on Diana Rigg in the Avengers, only with more naked legs. [squints] Nope. Not gonna go there.
Merlin's stuff, for me, wavers between 'wow' and 'fuck no'. Sadly with more 'fuck no' than wow in this instance.
I saw Mountaha, but I missed Shannon!
