This year's Old Home Week theme is Mardi Gras. This means that everything is purple, green and gold and all of the floats in tonight's light parade have masks and a New Orleans theme and whatnot.
A float just passed my apartment, if you can even call it a float, which featured a truck pulling a boat that sported a cooler, a beach umbrella, and streamers.
The sign on the front of the truck? "Hurricane Evacuation Krewe."
