I like Bravo better, if only because they start every new season by showing every episode EVER.

Why You Are An Idiot For Not Watching Mad Men

Of course, it's Cracked, so it boils down to exactly what you think it would:

1. Don Draper is awesome.
2. Joan has fantastic breasts.

I find myself unable to argue either point. Of course, I still haven't seen an entire episode. (I'm working on it, I'm working on it. It'd help if they made it a lot easier to get your hands on the damn episodes. Hmph.)

Lol. Well, I wish he'd been more clear on the context of what happened with Bobbie, but... yeah.

I've tried watching the series twice now and something about it puts my hackles up. I know it's a semi-accurate portrayal of women in th workplace during that time, but... it bothers me. Is that weird? :-/

I think it's supposed to bother you.

Yes. There are many bits blatantly intended to make early-21st-century viewers jump and twitch -- like seeing the bitsy girl coming into the living room covered in a plastic dry-cleaning bag, and her mother's response being that she'll be in a lot of trouble if Mommy's clean dress is now on the floor of her closet. Or the wife's shrink saying nothing to her during her sessions, and then calling up her husband at night to spill the beans on everything she was saying to him.

I can't argue either of those points either, and I've seen both seasons. I've never had such a love-hate relationship with a character as I do with Don Draper.

Also, Joan kind of has fantastic everything.

Is Joan the character played by Christina Hendricks? If so, some of us were drooling over her way back when she was trying to seduce Inara on Firefly :-)

Yup, that's her. And seriously, I thought she was hot back on Firefly, and then they put her in period costumes and my brain sort of short-circuits every time I see her now, even when she's not in costume. :)

Y'mean like this? Enabling Chris is enabling.

I never made it past ep 5 of Mad Men b/c frankly? I dunno why, but it bored me. ^^;;

I love your icon. And I've totally been getting into Mad Men for the past week.
