In the realm of Things That Will Probably End Badly ...

... I've connected the netbook to the spare flatscreen I was going to try to turn into a TV.

Which is still something different, let me tell you. After eight months using primarily the netbook with its ten-inch screen (something I've never had a problem with), I'm looking at this on a 19-inch now and I'm like, "Holy crap, this is MASSIVE."

I can't even imagine what it would be like to be my brother right now, looking at his thirty-two inch screen (I checked with my brother; I could have sworn it was bigger than that, but whatever, it's still huge). I would feel like the computer was trying to intimidate me. Now I just need to figure out how to have one program open on the netbook and another open on the monitor.

Wait, wait ... I think I've got it.

... aaaaaand I don't.

This is one of those situations I wish was solved by simply poking it with a stick.

EDIT: Never mind! I got it! \o/

How exactly did you manage to hook your comp up to your flatscreen? I've been half-ass thinking about doing it with mine for a while.

Well, it's a monitor, so it really wasn't as hard as it sounds. The netbook's got a VGA connection, so it was really just a matter of hooking it up and rigging up the graphics options the right way.

My brother's got his hooked up to an actual TV, though. I can ask him how if you want, although I looked at it really quick out of curiosity and it just looked like the one wire connecting the two.

Aaaaaand now I'm wondering if I could get away with hooking the netbook to my TV. *headsmack*

If you could ask him that would be awesome, because I have a 42 inch plasma screen that is BEGGING to have pretty things on it.

My husband hooked up 62 inches screen just to play Microsoft Flight Sim.

We've got a Mac Mini hooked up to a 42 inch TV. My friends think it's the most awesome thing in the history of awesome. We watch YouTube in massive glory. :D
