Someone start building an ark, you guys ...
It's raining like CRAZY out there. You know what would be nice? If I didn't have a dentist appointment at noon. *grumbles*
Oh, and a comment about SYTYCD:
That was such a LOAD. As somebody on TWoP pointed out, you're going to bring Brandon on the show and take a chance with his possible spot in future seasons, then tell him, "We can't take your day and a half of rehearsal into consideration," when you take shit that has nothing to do with what's right in front of you into consideration ALL THE TIME. "You did good for a hip-hop dancer"? "You did well for someone with no training"? Are these ringing any bells with you, Nigel?
That was such a crock. There was no way in hell Russell did worse than Nathan, Phillip, Kevin, or Peter last night. I honestly agree with a lot of the commenters on TWoP on this one. They put Russell in that bottom four because they knew they were getting rid of Brandon and wanted Russell to have a solo to show off krump to the audience.
See, here's the thing with last night's final four. It was the producers' best-case scenario considering the circumstances, but the thing is that it was thinking with their brains in a way that didn't eliminate the options where they would look like resounding douchebags. They put Brandon there because they wanted to keep the dancers they already had and work a technicality to make it easier for him to come back next year, and to ensure that they put him up against Russell, a dancer so beloved by the audience eliminating him probably would have caused a riot, and they did it just to showcase his style at the expense of his self-esteem (although he certainly looked like he knew damn well what was going on) and the esteem of the audience (although I think they and we got the gist of it anyway). And instead of eliminating Noelle, because how the hell is she supposed to rehearse this week with her leg in that cast, they get rid of Ariana, who'll probably have to come back next week anyway when Russell and Peter don't have partners and there's only Pauline to be had?
Ugh, show, seriously.
Also, I spoiled myself on the title of SPN episode 5.12 and if that refers to what I think it refers to, I'm going to flip the hell OUT.

And putting Russell up there was solely to show him off. He is an awesome dancer in his own right and I love him, but it ticks me off the way they patronize him. It's been six seasons, does it really have to be such a fucking shock every time a hip hop dancer/krumper/whatever the hell can dance well in other styles? Does it really 'defy explanation' to such an extent that they have to wax on about it for two minutes at a stretch every time he dances and they can pat themselves on the back again for letting him through? Jeez.

And I hate how they get on Russell especially considering his profile on the website makes it pretty clear he's got to have a fairly well-rounded dance background. Just because he specializes in krump doesn't mean he's any less talented than the others, for crying out loud.
