Don't die, emo horse!

It goes to show the kind of day (or week, more aptly) that I've had that a little while ago this scene popped into my head on the drive home from work for some reason and I promptly burst into tears.

Granted, I could be having massive amounts of sex with Jared and Jensen on a great big pile of money surrounded by stacks of published books I'd written and that scene would make me sob like an infant, but let's not nitpick.

Noooooooo.

Just seeing the youtube image is making me tear up. I would always walk out of the room whenever I glimpsed any part of this scene.

It's actually worse in the book. Artax can talk in the book. He tells Atreyu that he's done for and to leave him! *wibble*

OH NO!!!!! That scene ALWAYS makes me cry! Recently someone on my LJ flist asked for recs for movies that make people cry and THAT was the scene that popped into my head immediately.

Poor horse.

Oddly enough, I never watched that movie as a child. I never knew there was a book for years.

For a reason I have yet to determine, Dad and I went to see The Neverending Story 2 when I was 7 or 8. Despite never having seen the first movie, or even heard of it, or knowing the plot. I think he saw the trailer and thought I would like it. All I remember are balls that steal memories. Otherwise, I've forgotten everything about it. Except a weird dog-faced thing that flew.

Yeah. I went to watch this and I had to pause it repeatedly to cry.

Oh, I can't watch that scene. It traumatized me as a little girl.

Me too. I was five or something. My mother said all the kids in the audience were losing it.

I think I was about seven or eight when I saw it on video. My parents rented it.

Ever since I was a kid that scene has made me cry. I love this movie though.
