I took a break to watch Doctor Who.

Dear River Song,

FUCK ME.

... er, I mean. Ahem.

I love you. :D

Sincerely,

Me

*

Dear Matt Smith,

You are the best. Why do I have the feeling that you've been making the TARDIS noise for years and were thrilled that you could finally do something useful with it other than impress geek girls at pubs?

Sincerely,

Me

*

Dear Eleven,

... threesome.

Also, HA!, that you would think that any companion you'd bring along would just stay when he or she is told.

Sincerely,

Me

*

Dear Amy Pond,

You're seriously competing with Donna for my favorite New Who companion. That's pretty damn impressive.

Sincerely,

Me

*

Dear weeping angels,

GYAH. Why did I watch an episode I knew you were going to be in with my lights off? I'm either an idiot or a glutton for punishment, honestly.

Sincerely,

Me

You totally rock! I swear, same exact reaction. (Ooh, and also, because I'm some stalker freak, I love all your SPN fics. Have you got Dr Who ones? Squee! I have to see!)

I still don't like River, but Amy is growing on me.

ELEVEN, THOUGH. HOW SO ADORABLE.

I also don't like River. I thought I was completely alone in this.

[identity profile] mercymydarling.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
I thought so too! I am so glad to not be alone. *g*

I find her kind of... smug and annoying. And I was kind of in love with the way she made Eleven all grumpy-faced. :)

I have this wonderful and completely random new theory where she is totally playing the Doctor. Like, they're not actually doomed time-crossed lovers in the future or whatever, she's just someone who happens to know everything about him. OOOH PLOT.

Probably not very likely, but it makes me happy to contemplate.

[identity profile] mercymydarling.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Someone on my flist (and I can't remember WHO and that is going to BOTHER ME ALL NIGHT) thinks that River is a future, female regeneration of the Doctor. Cites how she knows him so well and the joke that the Doctor made about self-marriage. This idea highly entertains me.

River is a future, female regeneration of the Doctor

...

...

...

*dolphin noises of glee*

[identity profile] mercymydarling.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
I. KNOW. RIGHT.

(Note: [livejournal.com profile] ingnipes! Her idea! :D )

[identity profile] seraangel.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
I'd love that theory only there's the fact that he felt he had to save her. Which he wouldn't have if she were a regeneration since she would regenerate into someone else. Unless she's his last regeneration. I can't remember how many Galifrayians get.

[identity profile] mercymydarling.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Thirteen regenerations = fourteen bodies. And you're RIGHT, of course, also being: even if she were his last body, she'd remember the Weeping Angels and how to escape them. Probably.

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, Wikipedia says twelve regenerations and thirteen bodies. :)

[identity profile] mercymydarling.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
CURSE YOU, WIKIPEDIA.

The Who Wiki has corrected the error in my brain, though: I thought their number was -1 of their regenerations, not +1. ...if that makes any sense.

[identity profile] seraangel.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Still, maybe she went slightly senile after all that regenerating, and so totally thinks she's human. Thus, he has no idea she's him in the future. Or she's a regeneration of Jenny! His daughter.

(I'm amused at how much time I'm spending on this. But it's fun!)

Oooh, or she's a regeneration of Susan, his Granddaughter. She's a timelady and as far as we know wasn't in the Time war since he left her on some random planet in the Old who series.

I don't think so, just because the Time Lords were telepathic enough to sense other Time Lords. The only reason he didn't sense the Master is because the master was human until he opened his watch. Though: if River pulls out a watch, all "surprise!" I'm going to smack someone, because I still hold out secret hope for TIme Lord!Ianto. *g*

[identity profile] seraangel.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee. Time Lord!Ianto would be awesome.

It is my favorite fandom cliche, all probably because of [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller's awesome fic The Doctor and Mr. Jones.

GYAH. Why did I watch an episode I knew you were going to be in with my lights off?

Try watching it during a massive thunderstorm--with thunder crashing each time the Weeping Angels get someone...or do anything, really. Not good for the heart, I tell you.

OMG THAT WOULD BE THE BEST.

... er, I mean, that would be terrible. Ahem.

(As scary as the weeping angels are, I *like* being scared by them. They're awesome.)

Oh, I love them, too. I just thought the storm was over since the tornado warnings were finally dropped, so it was a shock when it hit right as the Weeping Angels did something.
