That's not going to help matters any.

Dear YouTube,

Oh, goddamn it, someone's posted A Night To Remember on your website.

... not that I'm complaining, mind. Wheeeee, one of my three favorite movies* available at all times! \o/

Sincerely,

Me

* The other two are The Poseidon Adventure and 2012, thereby adding fuel to the hypothesis that I only like movies that manhandle large passenger liners.

Posiedon had its moments, too- I absolutely *hearted* Dreyfuss' character.

Pfft. I only liked the bit where they drown the Black Eyed Peas.

A Night to Remember is a fantastic movie, and worth watching not least for the several scenes that James Cameron blatantly ripped off for Titanic.

You know the scenes, like the one where the young loving couple bump into Thomas Andrews in the ballroom. And didn't that make you laugh when "Jack and Rose" get shmooshed by a collapsing funnel?

If you like films that maul large passenger liners, may I recommend Megashark vs Giant Octopus? It has very few redeeming features beyond being so hilariously bad it's good (SCIENCE GLOWS GREEN ESPECIALLY IF IT'S PHEROMONES, THE JAPANESE GUY WILL ALWAYS SPEAK IN SCIENCE, STOCK FOOTAGE AND REPEATING SHOTS ARE YOUR FRIENDS!), but the scene with the aeroplane is the best thing I have ever seen on screen.

Yeah, but the only good bits are on YouTube. No point in forking out for the DVD.

IIRC, it's still available to watch on Netflix, and I've got an account. :D

In that case you should definitely watch it, at least for those five minutes!

Oh god no, I wouldn't pay money for it! (I let a friend pay about 50p for it instead.) Like I said, it's bad! I'd definitely go looking for it on Youtube rather than order it.
