Okay, who wants to place bets on whether or not Bosslady will give me a talking-to for stopping every once in a while on Friday to check my Hotmail during my twelve-hours-long shift with no real break or lunch hour?

I'd really love to know why I've got people jumping on my back for checking my email when I know of at least three other people at work checking Hotmail. Urgh.

Want gmail? (not that that has anything to do with your work situation... *g*)

Gmail is evil. Too many people are convinced gmail will violate your privacy every chance they get

Eh, I'm not convinced it's more evil than any other free webmail package. It sure is cooler, though.

Well, for one thing, other free webmail packages don't keep your deleted emails for "an indeterminate amount of time," (http://www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com/) which is likely to be way past the 180-day "protected communication" status deadline. Which is to say, after six months, Gmail has everything you've written to anybody and can be subpoenaed for it, without a warrant.

1> You are cute. They are looking for an excuse to talk to you.
2> Because they can. Let's be honest; your life is a sitcom, and they just want screen time.
3> You need to b sneakier. As long as you pretend to work, they will pretend to pay you and leave you alone.

You should file a complaint or something to the higher-ups about this. There's no excuse for working you 12 hours without a significant break.... plus I'm sure that it is part of your state law to have breaks. I know that in Maine and New York it is law that you get a one hour break when working over a certain amount of time...I think 8 hours. Um, or over 6. Ah crap, I don't know...but it's the law dammit!

Because Bosslady isn't jealous of the other people's skill level, self-confidence, boobs and or whatever.

That, or Bosslady is just too stupid to figure out the other people are checking hotmail.
