Oh, man is that funny. Well said, God. Now make with the locusts.

LMAO!!! Divine electoral retribution!

Now if we can just get a rain of toads on Texas... ;)

I knew it.

Of course, now Jeb & Dubya will start believing in science before God. How fricking convenient.

But at least they'll have to believe in fuzzy science... ;)

Very true.

That does explain creationism :).

I have to say it here, too...well, I want to say a little more here. I know people who lost everything in Ivan. I'll admit it; when I was scared that Ivan was heading this way, I made similar jokes just because the tension was getting to be too much.

I was spared. Others weren't as lucky.

It's just not funny anymore.

Oh, things are ALWAYS funny if you wait a bit. Tell you what: when California falls off into the ocean, you have our permission to make "Nevada beachfront property" jokes. :)

How utterly tasteless, it's times like these I remember why I unfriended you.

[identity profile] muffytaj.livejournal.com 2004-09-20 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Why are you still reading her then?

It's because you secretly want her bad, isn't it? ISN'T IT? CONFESS!

[identity profile] kakoshen.livejournal.com 2004-09-21 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
No, she showed up in an actual friend's friends list that I happened to be browsing.

Awww, it's all right, we won't judge you here.

I'm sure you tried as hard as you could to not click the link, read the entry, amass what she was saying, click the 'comment' button, comment, then reply to another comment. We know you tried hard. But the first part to recovery is admitting that you have a problem.

I mean, sure she didn't actually make that in the first place, and your icon is tasteless, but hey, it's all good. We understand that you may be having difficulty in coming to terms with your obsession with [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess. It's okay. We understand.

I don't know how often I've heard this joke. It is even more amusing when 'G' calls me from his cell phone as he And family are evacuating from their house in Tampa to say "We're getting out of town now. I knew that screwing up the election in 2000 was going to have some repercussions but three storms? Isn't that a bit much? We are Floridians not Egyptians, we don't even own any chosen people!"

Yeah, I was listening to the radio in my car this morning and heard about this guy in Florida who lost his six-year-old daughter in the floodwaters while he was trying to hang onto his sixteen-year-old other daughter.

Needless to say, I had to pull over because I was laughing so hard. HA HA HA TAKE THAT FLORIDA SIX YEAR OLD, GOD AM BOMBAD DEMOCRAT NOW.

Seriously, though, it's a shame that Florida never caught onto all those years before the Bushes, when they never had a single hurricane _ever_. Nope, back in those days the hurricanes would plow through the Carribbean and just fade away into another universe once they hit the mainland. I'm surprised Kerry doesn't play this up more in his speeches.

Note that the joke isn't claiming that Florida dodged hurricanes for years before now. Note also the general irony of having a record year for hurricanes (and generally fucked-up weather all year) right before the vote whether or not to hang onto the administration that continues to deny that the climate is going wonky and that people seem to have had something to do with it. Then go look up the term "dark humor" and the phrase "whistling in the dark."
