I just realized something about my stories. In both The Monsters of Minooka and The Walking Dead of Wilkes-Barre, Sean gets attacked in or near his apartment in about the 18th or 19th chapter.

Sean's the kind of character who begs for little meta comments. If I do write The Vampires of Vandling, I can just picture Sean and Naomi being at a party or an elegant dinner or something about that time in the story, and Sean turning to Naomi and saying in a very Ferris Bueller's Day Off kind of way, "Do you realize if I were home right now, I'd be under attack?" And then the two of them just giggling.

Oh, I am so doing that. :)

And the lovely thing is that it would be such an inside-joke type of comment! I can just see readers going "Uh, WTF? Why did he say that?" while we, the enlightened readers of this 'journal, will all be going "OMG! She actually DID it!! *SQUEE*!"

...Okay, maybe not the fanboy/girl sound. MAYBE.
