Alas, it turns out that due to the bad weather forecast for this weekend and a job that my dad has to finish this weekend, my parents are not coming in for a visit. I'm torn between, "Damn, I don't get to go to the zoo with my parents!" and, "Yay! My weekend is my own again!"

In other news, you know that "Bust a Move" Old Navy commercial? Well, I hate it, as I do all Old Navy commercials, but I adore that orangey-yellow top the one girl is wearing.

Bah. It's probably made out of toilet tissue and dyed with tempra paint. I have completely lost faith in Old Navy clothes.

Really? They're all I wear. It's woefully hard for a size 16 without a ton of money to find clothes anywhere; for me, Old Navy has been a clothing godsend. And considering that I can measure the wear I get out of their clothes in years, I think I get my money's worth...

I was a die hard Old Navy girl up until the last year or so, when the quality just vanished and the stores started looking like dig sales. I used to buy a couple of pairs a year; the last few pairs have only lasted me a few months each.

Bah, I say.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. DEB is good, though. I buy most of my jeans there now.

Yeah, I rather like that shirt, too. I usually just mute the TV, ignore the perky dancing, and gaze covetously at the tunic.

So is it just me, or does "bust a tunic" sound kinda painful, like a sports injury?
ext_1630: Didn't make this. (Texas)

I'm continuosly amazed and skairt by how they dance and twirl in those fuugleee cork-sole shoes on a freaking *boat*. If it were me, I'd slip and fall in the water even if I was standing perfectly still with glue strips on my feet.

Old Navy donated something like $3000 to the AIDS Walk I walked in last weekend, so I've kind of forgiven them for being a big stupid conformist chain store.

Then again, I don't watch TV, thus do not have to put up with their commercials.

I have a love/hate relationship with Old Navy. I detest their commercials, but I like their clothes.

I'll second that.
