Also, apparently Kitty Pryde has been cast for X3, and it's this girl, who's a virtual unknown. But, look! Now, that's a good casting decision. She looks so cute. :)

In other news, due to all of the talk about school mascots and the Pairing List and Sky High and whatnot, I'm horribly tempted to make up a writing challenge like the Everyday Superheroes Fanfic Challenge, but only for fandoms with high school or college student characters who normally wouldn't have superpowers. Like making all of the Veronica Mars characters telepathic or giving Ferris Bueller the ability to teleport or giving Jeff Spicoli superstrength. And then making the deadline my birthday in two months, just 'cause. *needs a life like whoa*

EDIT: Harry Knowles gives Sky High a great review. Okay, the part with the giant evil robots? Killed me dead. *giggles*

Sky High is written by people who did Kim Possible?! THEY ROCK AND THEIR ART PEOPLE DID THE CLERKS CARTOON! I DON'T FEEL DIRTY ANYMORE! *unashamedly rushes off to give the movie ALL OF HER MONEY*

It's the same art director, anyway - you can tell if you look at Dr. Drakken and tilt your head justso. (Or if you have the Clerks cartoon DVD and listen to the commentary - they briefly discuss "this new project for the Disney channel" the art guys got after the show was cancelled.) :)

Can you imagine what more Ferris could have done with the ability to teleport? Vegas, a broadway show, um, seeing the cherry blossoms in DC, going to the top of the Space Needle, uh, a show at SeaWorld in San Diego, Epcot Center, and top it all off with a lovely after-dinner stroll down the street I can't spell, in Paris.

And then, you know, running through everyone's yard anyway to get home in time.

Spicoli with superstrength. *tries to imagine to what use he would put it* ...for being able to carry fourteen pizzas into class?

And just think. You could give, oh, Long Duck Dong the ability to ...turn completely into water. So instead of falling out of the tree he'd splash all over the people. Or John Bender with X-ray vision--not that he doesn't already avail himself of every opportunity... Or Vinnie Barbarino with, uh, hm. Ability to walk through walls, perhaps. He could also fall through his chair periodically. A huge scandal at the high school for the performing arts when, uh, I don't remember character names from Fame, but one of the dancing ones turns out to actually be able to fly and that's why he can do crazy spinny leaping shit.

The possibilities are endless. :D
