(no subject)

I had some money left in my Paypal account, so I ordered this.

Is it wrong that as much I love and adore that poster, I'd kind of rather have a [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh version with Principal Connor's take on that letter? *giggles*

EDIT: Ooo, ooo! Who knows what "We are here to traumatize you!" is in Latin?

LOL! I love the poster and you're not weird. Let me drag open my Latin translation program and get back to you.

my Latin abilities aren't what they were... some choices that others can rip apart for merriment

Nos sis hic tristifico.
Nos sis hic infligo.
Nos sis hic facio vulnero.

One day I've got to re-read my Latin I book.

Hmmm... I suddenly feel mildly like the Roman centurion in "Life of Brian." ;)

... I knew I shouldn't have said that. *snickers*

Never say anything at Fandom High. It either becomes an icon, a Fandom Quote, or canon. ;P

Dear lord. Never before have I wanted to participate in an online RPG this much. And I'm not even all that into the fandom thing! I just wanted to let you know that I missed out on registration so instead I just read all the posts like some creepy [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh fangirl how cool I think it is. :)

Hee. Thanks. It does tend to swallow your life like crazy. I'm starting to wonder if playing three characters wasn't a bad idea. (Although good luck trying to get me to give any of them up. ;))

I could also translate it into Greek *snickers*

Oh I love being a classics nerd.

I'd suggest one of the following:

adsumus ad vos perterrendos.
perterrendorum vestri causa adsumus.
adsumus ad perterrendum.

The last one doesn't actually say that we're going to traumatize you, it more just says "We're here for the purpose of traumatizing [somebody else]." The first one is probably the best (in terms of being succinct and conveying the general idea the best).

LOL! Arrive and terrify!

Hmm. It doesn't look too bad, though I think if I really can't figure out a form I'd just go for the morphological identifier over at the Perseus Project.

I'm half-tempted to point my students to your link, but I think they'd stop ever working to actually figure out grammar on their own again.
