On today's agenda ... looking for work within walking distance. *sigh* I hate looking for work. Moving's cool, setting up the apartment's okay, dealing with the car's not a problem, but looking for work SUCKS. I really wish that I could drive Joe Bag-O'-Lugnuts already. And also, that gas didn't cost an arm, a leg, and any other spare body parts I might not need.

Yesterday I sketched out the rest of the Monsters of Moosic stuff all the way to the end of the series and worked on a recap of one of those crappy disaster movies. And tonight, I'm going to work on notes for that post-apocalyptic story I'm doing for NaNoWriMo and watch The Amazing Race and Boston Legal. Needless to say, I'd much rather be paid to do that. ;)

I have one word for you: Craigslist.com!

I'm doing the job-hunt thing myself the last few days and having great results there. You target your city and then can pick from a variety of "professions'/groupings. Once you go there you can see what's been posted today, yesterday, the day before ...

I got my resume (several, targeted for different levels/jobs) and created a form cover letter that I can cut-and-paste into e-mails.

Then, for every posting on craigslist that looks good, I click the link to start an e-mail, paste the cover letter content in, attach the resume of choice, bcc myself (so I can remember who, what, etc.) and move on to the next. I can go through a day's postings in the early evening in about a half an hour. It's easy, fast and can be done in addition to whatever other methods of job hunting you're using without negatively impacting your time. :)

However you do it, though, good luck to you!!! :>
