Would someone be an absolute doll and get me some hot chocolate? I'm in the middle of organizing apocalyptothon assignments, I'm on a roll, and I'm loathe to get up. *smiles cutely*

(This isn't laziness so much as fear because the last time I got up, one of the kitchen chairs tried to eat my toes.)

Mostly to give people time to get together a good fic. Part of it was because I know there's a good chunk of people who signed up who also signed up for zombieficathon, which is due May 1. So it was either a choice of moving it up to April (which I don't know about anybody else, but I plan on writing as many of my requests as possible, so the more time the better), or pushing it to June 1. And if a little more time gets us better fic (considering that some of these require some decent research), all the better. :)

(I say that as calmly as I possibly can, because I'm so impatient that if I could get away with it, I would make the deadline yesterday. Heck, going over the requests just to assign 'em is giving me tons of ideas. *goes back to chewing fingernails waiting anxiously for June 1*)

Oh, sigh. Logic and consideration for other people. I guess I can go with that. :)

But, in the meantime -- you know all those fandoms we listed at the beginning that weren't chosen? What if, in the five and a half months before the deadline, we write something in one of those? Could we post them to the comm maybe?

Sure, I don't see why not. I doubt we're the only impatient ones dying for some post-apocalyptic fic (especially considering how many people have signed up so far).
