Daniel's going to Fashion Week. OH THANK GOD.

I was seriously worried for a second there, because if they were going to be stupid enough to make a crack last week about almost kicking him out over his Chloe dress when he won four challenges already, then it wouldn't have shocked me in the least if they'd kicked him out just to be assholes.

That's not to say I didn't think his dress could have used some more ... well, some more. Sad as it is, I totally agreed with Santino about the whole, "Uh, your dresses are boring." Because yeah, they were, and Kara's most of all, so good riddance to her. And Chloe's dress totally made Grace look like she had a big ass, which was the first thing I said when they showed where that goofy-looking seam ended up.

Also, I'm frightened, because Santino's dress was my favorite. Yes, it was costume-like, but at least it had some personality to it. The other three were just ... meh. (Granted, Daniel's was a well-made, well-sewn meh, but still.)

There were spoilery photos of the Fashion Week collections floating around and I couldn't bring myself to look at them. Project Runway and Supernatural are the first two shows in a loooooooong time that I've been uneasy about spoiling myself for. (With Supernatural, I'm so giddy about every new episode, I'm a little anxious about spoiling that. I haven't been this giddy about a show in ages, and as much as I have loved it, I'm including Lost in that.)

Also, Iman! Wheee! Is it really bad that I had a stronge urge to go touch the TV screen for the David Bowie cooties? Yes? Okay, then!

Next week: Reunion show! I haven't written any fic in a few weeks, but that might be begging for it.

Okay, I'm off to write more Supernatural fic, because apparently I do nothing else anymore. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. ;) (Dude, I've already written six fics this month. I'm all impressed with myself. *G*)

See, I really liked Daniel's dress. I'm not a huge fan of sequins or beadings or stuff like that. If any dress I wear has embellishments, it's most likely embroidery. And Kara's was boring, yes, but I did like the look of the racerback. They should have had the model's hair pulled up to show it off.

And yes. Fic, fic, fic! Oh how I wish I could fic like you fic.

Oh, I thought Daniel's dress was lovely. I just, you know, expected more, mostly because it's the last week and like the judges said, this was supposed to be representative of their collections. And while simple, clean, and lovely is fine (and anything Daniel does is wonderful), I just worry for my baby. I want him to win THIS MUCH. *cuddles him*

And also, HEE! Thanks. :)

I think he wanted the fabric to talk--or more accurately, to prove he could make the fabric talk, because that thing moved around her legs like water. That is a dress to strut in.

Oh, yes. Rebecca's gorgeous, but that made her look even better, as if such a thing were possible.

I have no idea why they tried to make it look like a showdown between Chloe and Kara because Kara... oh, Kara. No.

I was giddy when I saw Iman was the guest judge this week because I am so incredibly happy at how much more qualified she was for this challenge.

Seriously. If they wanted to make the showdown have the least bit of tension to it, Santino vs. Kara all the way. On the other hand, when they told Santino he was "in" in that case, I probably would have thrown my TV out the window, but still.

Santino's was definitely the most interesting. It didn't look as bad on the runway as it did on the form. The top half was really cute. And like they said when they kicked off Emmett - what's worse? Going overboard with the creativity, or having no creativity *coughKaracough*?

I LOVE your icon.

Oh, Tim Gunn. Fandom loves ya, baby!

I was so worried Chloe was going to go after everyone made a big deal about her not having enough "passion." I didn't like the dress she made this ep, but sending her home after all the other awesome stuff she's done just would've been wrong.

Is it really bad that I had a stronge urge to go touch the TV screen for the David Bowie cooties?

No. Because I did too.

Dude, I need that kind of writing mojo/inspiration at the moment. Is it weird to blame my new room in a new place? Because I just can't get into a writing groove at the moment.

Oh well, I'll just keep reading your gen fic instead! (So write more - wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

Heh, I'm with you... although honestly, I kinda got a kick out of Chloe's ass-hem, the way I liked Daniel's orchid-neck. It was certainly different, but I didn't find it unflattering--Grace has a nice booty, and it showed it off; most gowns don't do that and still retain a modicum of taste.

(I would LOVE to read reunion-inspired RPS! Please please please!)

[identity profile] jedilora.livejournal.com 2006-02-16 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
You know what will kill me during the reunion show? What if Santino MENTIONS the fic?

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2006-02-16 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, God, I'd almost completely blocked that thought from my mind.

[identity profile] jedilora.livejournal.com 2006-02-16 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
What might make it okay? What if he takes the opportunity to say, "And she got it right!"

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2006-02-16 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
If everybody laughs. Or better yet, if either Daniel or Andrae want to read it and THEN laugh. I don't really care what Santino thinks, but if he's going to subject those two to it, I just don't want them to feel bad about it.
