(no subject)

I was going to call off with a personal day today anyway just for the hell of it, and for some stupid reason I woke up too sore to move. I mean, to the point where I had to pop an Advil to walk into the kitchen. OW. I don't know what the hell I did to myself, but I don't think my muscles are supposed to throb like this.

I'm currently watching Wonder Boys. I hate Tom Cruise right now simply for screwing over an awesome movie for me, because all I'm doing right now is lamenting the fact Katie Holmes is in this. And this is the only movie I can stand her in, for crying out loud. *gags*

And now, a meme ...

How many times has someone on your friends list posted about something and you were really confused, but you didn't want to ask because you knew you SHOULD know? How many times have you felt 'guilty' asking a close LJ friend a question that should be 'obvious'?

Well, here's your chance.

If you've missed a few things, missed an entry and are confused, ask me any thing. Even something EXTREMELY basic, like where I live! I'm not allowed to get even slightly irritated at any of the questions - we've all missed things before. In turn, though, you must repost this in your own journal.

Have you read the book? It's one of my all-time favorites.

Um. Icon? Gravy of death and suffering? Buh?

(also, I hope you feel better. Yay for personal days!)

Oh, the icon's a reference to when I recapped Deadly Harvest, this amazingly crappy late-seventies disaster movie (yay, famine!) starring Kim Cattrall. That movie was like some form of punishment. :)

Holy crap, you need to check this out if you haven't already.

Oh, WOW.

Destroyed by God

You will need: God

That right there is a thing of beauty. :)

I propose an experiment... post in your journal that you are going to call off of work because you won the lottery... see if it works.

What is your job? You talk about all the crazy antics and i have no idea what you do for a living.

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2006-04-25 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
I work the night shift at a plant that makes CDs and DVDs, and I run one of the CD machines. It kinda sucks, but on the other hand, it pays okay for this area and the people I work with are awesome.

Now that you've brought it up where DO you live? I hadn't even though of it until you mentioned it. :P

And what was the first fandom that you ever wrote fic for?

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2006-04-25 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I just moved back to Northeastern Pennsylvania about six months ago after two years of living in the DC area. I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere outside of Scranton.

And the first fandom that I ever wrote fic for was for Highlander: The Series. I used to have the link for the story somewhere, but now I'll be damned if I know where it is. It was actually pretty decent for a first try, although after that I went through my falling-out-of-the-fanfic-cliche-tree-and-hitting-every-branch-on-the-way-down phase.

Hmmmmm how old are you?

What won't you eat?

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2006-04-25 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'll try anything once, but let's see, stuff I won't eat ... my mother's tuna casserole (which she stopped making specifically because of that), coconut (actually, most tropical fruits, but especially coconut), most cheeses (I can only stand the cheap stuff), rye and pumpernickel (*gags*), tomatoes when they're not in ketchup or sauce form, salmon (the only seafood I don't adore), and that's all I can think of off the top of my head. :)
