Urgh.

Dear graduating seniors,

1. Don't you annoy the piss out of me the rest of the year as is by gunning it down Main Street past my apartment? Is the horn-honking really necessary?

2. Then again, without the horn-honking, I wouldn't be able to see how many of you classy, classy people wrote "No Fat Bitches!" on your car windows.

3. Did you all seriously vote "Don't Stop Believing" as your class song? SERIOUSLY?!

Wait, what the hell am I making fun of? The popular people in our class banded together and voted for a song we couldn't even sing at graduation like everybody else. ("Sky Blue and Black" by Jackson Browne, for the record. Not that it's a horrible song or anything, but we wanted to sing our song, damn it.)

My sister just graduated, and her class chose "The Final Countdown".

That would be SO FUCKING COOL. Just as long as they hired a magician to perform while it was playing. :)

The best part is that it's a Catholic school, so the song got played as they walked out of the ceremony...IN CHURCH. My grandmother was SO CONFUSED.

Ha! That's fantastic.

ugh. my high school voted on "here i go again" by whitesnake as our graduation song.

Well, we were kind of lame on some level -- the second choice was "Freebird," which would have been cheesy but would have been a HELL of a lot of fun to sing. :)

Every single school in my area has picked Eve 6's "Here's to the Night" for the last two years.

Our class song was Verve Pipe's "The Freshmen." To this day, I still don't know what genius thought that was a good idea (we never voted. The popular kids were just allowed to choose).

We went with "I'll Remember" by Madonna. Personally, I wanted "This is the Moment" by the Moody Blues (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jaenvnFv3U). Though, this was partly because of the fact there's a version of it on the Jeckyl & Hyde musical soundtrack.

Ours was the same. It was announced at our senior assembly, and I turned to my friend and said "Do you even remember voting on this?" "Hell no."

My class?

"Dust in the Wind"

I mean, if we had to go with a Kansas song, couldn't it have been "Carry On My Wayward Son"? That would have been AWESOME.

At least we didn't pick Vitamin C "Graduation (Friends Forever)".

That is sadly what my class picked. I'm pretty sure I voted for Freebird.

I'm graduating tomorrow, and my high school...doesn't have a graduation song. I've never heard of graduation songs. (Of course, my school also doesn't do valedictorian/salutatorian or formal homecoming, so what do I know?)

Ours was Boyz II Men 'It's So Hard to Say Goodbye'

I'm guessing their choice had something to do with all the play it got after the Sopranos finale?
