So chapter two is finished. I'm going to wait until I finish chapter three before I go over the first few chapters and tweak them, and let somebody else read them to tell me if I'm getting the relationship just right, and then tweak again, and then a couple more chapters and she's off to college.

I seriously have not planned anything out. I know the handful of events I still want her to deal with before she goes to college, which for the record I finally decided to just make up and base on Keystone, so I can at least go there and walk the campus. I have a basic overview in my head of stuff I want to happen when she does get there -- the crazy roommate you hate, the freshman fifteen, the fifteen-minute rule, finally giving up at some point and just wearing PJs to your 8 a.m. class -- but that's about it.

Oh, and if anybody wants to toss in any suggestions for other college things that I can hit on, now's the time. I made a list but since she hasn't left town yet, I haven't dug it up. :)

Which, okay, I pretty much put aside until I could get a good start on The Hollow Girl. Once I get a good start on that, I really want to come back and finish as many of the nearly-finished chapters as I can. I still have that outline up on my wall that I stop and stare at occasionally like some sort of freak, but whatever.

The Zeppo story:

Uh, yeah. Nothing yet.

I think this is going to be my NaNo project. It gives me time to plan out everything beforehand since I'm going to be walking a tightrope trying not to make the roommate's situation more interesting than hers. And it also gives me time to finish or nearly finish the other two novels and get them out of the way.

Ugh. Okay, now I need to go take a shower and have something other than Pepsi. And I have five hours until I have to go to work, so let's see what kind of a dent I can put in chapter three of The Hollow Girl. *rubs hands together in anticipation*

Looks like you've been very productive today. So, what are these books about? (You've probably already posted it somewhere along the way and I missed it. :) )

Heh. Well, The Hollow Girl is about a teen girl who falls for a guy with superhuman abilities and is willing to give up college to stay with him, but ends up getting convinced to go to college only to drift away from the whole situation (you know, as you do) and start to realize that maybe he wasn't the Prince Charming she thought he was.

And The Grand Prize Winner is kind of a post-apocalyptic story about a guy who was the first winner on a game show where the winning prize is to be turned into the magical being of your choice. (But, like always, there's a catch. ;))

Aaaaand the Zeppo story is about ... okay, you know those novels where there's a girl with some supernatural destiny, and she's torn between two strong handsome guys who both want her, and she fights monsters and is friends with witches and demons and whatever? It's the story of her roommate who has to deal with all that drama. :)

Oh, awesome! I'll probably pick up all three books once you've published them.:)

on the college events front: the first time you go to a dining hall and know absolutely no one to sit with. This was a minor freak out point for me, at least.
