apocalypsos: (when you're a jet)

My father's ringtone is the theme song to Gilligan's Island.

I don't think I've ever been less surprised about finding something out in my entire life.

In other news, my brother has tickets to a Sammy Hagar concert tomorrow night (or I guess it's tonight now) and neither one of us can go because of work. This pairs right up with the Lynyrd Skynyrd/3 Doors Down/Shooter Jennings concert in two weeks that I can't go to, either. *headdesk* (This is sort of an odd reaction for me, considering I hardly ever go to concerts because I'm not a big fan of live concerts.)

First off, the signups for the [livejournal.com profile] xmmficathon are open here. I am a geek who came up with my requests last week at work. (What? I was bored. And it only took me five seconds anyway. I knew exactly what I wanted.)

Secondly, the You've Gotta Have Cash master list is up and being updated as we speak. Wheeee!

My mother called before all, "Your cousin's having a barbecue today, you know," and I was all, "Yes, Mother, I know that." And she was all, "You could come before you have to go to work, you know," and I was all, "*grumblegrumblehalfasleep* I'll think 'bout it." And she was all, "We're grilling up burgers," and I was all, "If there's a chance you're going to leap on my back and nag me about that freakin' job, I ain't goin', but Whatever, Mom." And then I rolled over and went back to sleep because I didn't get to bed until five in the morning, and now it's two-thirty and I don't care anymore. Seriously, the depth and purity of my apathy today? Fucking staggering.

The Poseidon Adventure is on, which is a sign that someone up there loves me lots and thinks of me often.

EDIT: If I had chile right now, I'd be making a metric assload of Frito pie. I can't remember who mentioned it to me the other day, but now I waaaaaaaaant.
