(no subject)

Did you ever have one of those days where everything went wrong? No, seriously ... everything? *headwall*

I swear to God, if the quantity and quality of a person's Christmas gifts were directly proportionate to the amount of bullshit they had to put up with in the week before Christmas, and based solely on my work day today, come Saturday morning, I should come downstairs to find ten million dollars, every DVD ever made, a pony, a nekkid Johnny Depp, and a gift certificate for the superhero abilities of my choice.

In summation: Bad day at the office, honey? Why, yes ... yes, it was.

Urgh. I was so going to work on the novels, but instead I'm just going to gorge on Cheetos and Sprite and then go to bed. Blech.

Dude, I so share your pain.

Check the LJ. Start with Thursday. Continue on to today.

I've had five of those days, and I want a clone of Johnny Depp if you're getting one, dammit.

FMA helps, though.

FMA helps, though.

And you mean that in the "Well, it could always be worse" sense, right?

[identity profile] paradisacorbasi.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I suppose yes, I could've lost an arm and a leg and the physical corporeality of my baby brother -- that'd be worse.

But what I really meant was "oooh, pretty pretty anime with amazing story and just enough comedy to not make it completely depressing."

[identity profile] teleute12.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, okay. Fair 'nough.

[identity profile] cmstephens.livejournal.com 2004-12-20 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I had a day like that recently. It actually spilled over into the next day, too...

I think the quality/quantity of gifts should be based on the amount of bullshit tolerated for the entire year. If that were true, I think that a monetary sum somewhere in the billions would suffice. That gift certificate for a superhero ability sounds pretty good, too...

You just convinced me to send you chocolate. Your powers of persuasion are indeed formidible. (Do you like hazelnuts?)

[identity profile] topaz08.livejournal.com 2004-12-20 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd settle for the nekkid Johnny Depp.

[identity profile] miladygrey.livejournal.com 2004-12-20 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
My Johnny Depp clone (currently lounging about in full Jack Sparrow mode) sends his best wishes. He'd clone himself for you, but he's had a bit too much rum.

[identity profile] irradiatedsoup.livejournal.com 2004-12-20 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I want your presents.

[identity profile] illmantrim.livejournal.com 2004-12-20 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
hugggggssssss and hopes you have a better day tomorrow!!!

[identity profile] foxxydancr.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I also had a miserable day, including a dead car in a parking lot several subzero miles from home. So I gave up and went to bed early.

If you get the above mentioned items, do you have any intention of sharing? You could throw a party, buy lots of liquor, show movies and let us all tease Mr. Depp.

[identity profile] drewbeartx.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
::hug:: I hope the rest of the week goes better for you.

As for you repayment presents, screw the $10mil; the IRS would be all over you in a heartbeat. Just pick "Always have exactly as much money as I need" as one of your superpowers.

By the way... can I borrow $10? :P

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I still want that purse that always contains the exact amount of money I need to pay for whatever I need at the moment. Mmm-hmm. As much as I'd love teleportation or telekinesis, that purse would be awesome.

[identity profile] gentleman-lech.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I've had weeks like that. I know exactly where you're coming from on the snack food and bed thing.

Should you get that superhero abilities gift certificate, what are you going to get with it?

[identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd pick teleportation probably, although telekinesis runs a close second. Or better yet, I'd like to have both and go to Vegas. ;)

[identity profile] gentleman-lech.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm thinking invisibility might be more useful in Vegas than teleportation. But good choices. :)

Well, as long as I;ve got the Clone-o-Mat fired up for your Johnny copy (It'll be a Depp v2.3, the one where I corrected the unfortunate latex allergy that sprang up in early in the gene splicing process. Hope that's okay.), is there anyone else you want?

PS: Had a long drive through my old PA stomping grounds over the past few days. I'll give you five dollars to put Dragons in Delaware Water Gap on the list. :)
